I have read that when David Lee Roth split with Van Halen Bonnie Tyler was approached to replace him in the band... Cyndi would have been great... I would love to hear her sing Can't get that Stuff no More and Me Wise Magic.... With Van Halen backing her of course! Eddie couldnot take the heat... Cyndi's version of Carey from that tribute cncert for Joni Mitchell is also one of my very favorite songs... I can go on and on... I have worn out 3 or 4 copies of at Last and Body Accoustic both... : )
Cyndi has changed my life. This song is a Hymn... a true LOVE Song to God.... I Kiss the Ground this Woman Walks on... I feel Cyndi wrote this song at a point in her life like the one I was at when she woke me up that night. She is the REAL THING... True Colors says it all... She is like Frank Sinatra or Nat "King" Cole... I thank God I found Cyndi again... I did not get her in the '80s... a Hymn to Love? oh yes... always... always... always... Thank You God... thank you Cyndi
I absolutely love her. She marches to her the beat of her own drum. She has always been so unique, and that is part of her amazing beauty. To hear her speak, you realize her passion for what she believes in. She is beautiful through and through. And from her passion for life comes an amazing artistic beauty.
This is a great artist at her best. Too bad the business of music is not recognizing true talents like her these days. But some of us are still listening, and will keep on listening.
I am 43 and grew up in the 80's, she was wonderful then, it seems she only gets better with time. She is a beautiful woman inside and out. Love you Cindi, never stop playing.
I recorded this song on the RuPaul show when it was first aired in 1996, and I wore the tape out watching it. I've been looking for it ever since...thanks so much for posting!

I heard Cyndi singing Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood on PBS in a very low point of my divorce....
I had just worked a very long shift and come home and crashed hard....
Her voice woke me up and I was touched so deeply...
I went in search of the disc and ended up buying the Body Accoustic cd...
Shine... omg... Cyndi taught me how to love again...
She Bop... FEARLES!!!
By the time I found the At Last disc....
what can I say...
Cyndi is so wonderful I can't find words to describe how deeply

This song and performance is a testimony to raw talent.,
So many groups/songs have layer upon layer of tracks recorded in the studio with tons of mixing, effects, and mastering.
This is one person with one instrument, pouring out music from the heart (OK, there's also a microphone).
Don't get me wrong, Cyndi made great use of the studio, but this live track is to die (cry) for. Music just doesn't get much better than this.
