@4illegalalien It tries to copy Forza/Gran Turismo but cant get away from its Arcade roots. Its just a mess without personality, the controls and physics are shit. Plus the worst NFS Soundtrack so far. I was very dissapointed. Did they get that stuff in Shift 2 right?

This bill would shut down nova channel and channels like AVGN, Rooster teeth, machinima and other gaming channels all over the internet would be shut down. Please research more information about this bill because i can't type it all. I never say this in the comments, but please thumb this up so people see and copy and paste to other vids like these.
I don't remember how the first shift felt when you played. From this video it looks like the cars stick to the road a lot better than in shift 2. I also miss actually being able to hit other cars without spinning out of control, which is what happens in shift 2..
@SirChubblesSteen Shift 2 is very different than the first. I like both of them, but for different reasons. You are right, though. They focused on having rubber build up on the outside of corners in 2, so it gets kind of dicey on the outside of corners. I think the cars are a little looser in the original, but it has played a while since I played it (since 2 finally warmed up to me, it took a while for me to get used to it).
The driving in this game is worthless... Unrealistic in BAD ways... The tires r unrealisticly slippery and unless u tune your suspesion to soft your car will bounce... And on tracks like the nurburgring and such that just wont work... U will hit the curb cuz your slick tires magicaly wont grip and u will bounce of the track.

I`ve never liked sim racers. I just feel if i want a realistic racing experience i`ll just go in a car and usually when it comes to racing games i always crash into people but in sim racers sadly i cannot:( Thats why i`ll just stick with mario kart

i never got what people mean by "arcade" racing games ... i dont see diffrence between shift and , lets say GT5 , or forza or TDU , its all the same type of driving
@guy990 Yes I played rFactor, great sim but what the person was referring is the console games.
Anyways, I disagree with you on the fact that you labeled both GT5 and Forza as "arcade" racers. They are the closest thing to "sims" on the system and they also allow new fans to take the first step into sim racing if they don't own a PC.
@HCNguyen86 Yes, I agree. Because so MANY computers cost like - £500 or $559 or something. While the PS3 costs £300 and XBOX360 like £100 something or £200 something.
SHift idea is good but runs poor on PC and the handling is terrible. GRID sets the standard for this genre. I am hoping Shift2 will be better. Simracing say the handling is better. I wis CM would bring out GRID2, damn it's a beautiful game.
@justinscott94, The only similarity between Need for Speed and Gran Turismo is the fact that cars are in both games. Other than that, they are EXTREMELY different.
@blueflame1258 Surprisingly Dirt 2 barely looks better on PC than the console versions. The cars aren't as detailed as GT5's premium cars or most of FM3's, and there is no object based blur for instance your rims at full speed look like they are barely moving. But ok I'll give you that Dirt 2 is awesome, though not PC exclusive.
@BudzMcgr33n But then again you have to remember that all the publishers like hate PC and never make games that are PC based. If you check out GTA IV on PC vs console, its just such a huge difference.
@blueflame1258 Yeah I watched the PC vs console GTA lV comparison,. Too be honest the 360 version ran more smoothly with a stable framerate throughout. I agree that developers don't spend enough time with PC versions of games. I mean if Crysis came out in 07, then there should be something like twice as good as that by now for PC.
@blmthug I've never saw any El Camino on Forza 3, and I have it beat 100%. Unless it's on some secret DLC pack then I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the El Camino.
Did you experience any physics bugs on the PS3? I had the PC version of this game and it was buggy as hell. Cars bouncing, crash into invisible walls and still like that.
is it just me or do other people tend to push the analog stick harder when trying to turn the corner because u feel u will violently crash if u don't? lol. or like u move ur head while turning the corner because u think by moving ur head u will see more around the corner or something lmao(mainly in racing and fps games)

@jfl125 yeah. i haven't tried them yet, but i hear Logitech makes them really well. read up on the G27 Racing Wheel. Ithink that should fit the bill for you. but remember not to buy unless you are absolutely sure about it (those wheels are a little pricey) i'll look up so more for you give you some more feedback in the near future good luck on your search!

@McBlemmen No. Need for Speed series have always been an arcade racer. They don't use real life physics and it is mostly for casual players.
GT5 and Forza are Simulations. They incorporate real life physics into the game in order to simulate real driving.
You can't take a sharp hair pin turn while going 200mph in simulation games.. At that speed, you won't even see the wall flying towards you.
These are for racing fan
In an arcade racer, you can probably take those turn going 500mph with NOS .

Why is it that PC gamers always claim the consoles are so weak, but they don't have a racing sim that looks half as good as FM3 or GT5?

@BudzMcgr33n Maybe you've never actually seen a game on a computer. Check out Dirt 2.

@blueflame1258 Surprisingly Dirt 2 barely looks better on PC than the console versions. The cars aren't as detailed as GT5's premium cars or most of FM3's, and there is no object based blur for instance your rims at full speed look like they are barely moving. But ok I'll give you that Dirt 2 is awesome, though not PC exclusive.

@BudzMcgr33n But then again you have to remember that all the publishers like hate PC and never make games that are PC based. If you check out GTA IV on PC vs console, its just such a huge difference.

@blueflame1258 Yeah I watched the PC vs console GTA lV comparison,. Too be honest the 360 version ran more smoothly with a stable framerate throughout. I agree that developers don't spend enough time with PC versions of games. I mean if Crysis came out in 07, then there should be something like twice as good as that by now for PC.

@blmthug I've never saw any El Camino on Forza 3, and I have it beat 100%. Unless it's on some secret DLC pack then I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the El Camino.

Did you experience any physics bugs on the PS3? I had the PC version of this game and it was buggy as hell. Cars bouncing, crash into invisible walls and still like that.

is it just me or do other people tend to push the analog stick harder when trying to turn the corner because u feel u will violently crash if u don't? lol. or like u move ur head while turning the corner because u think by moving ur head u will see more around the corner or something lmao(mainly in racing and fps games)

@jfl125 yeah. i haven't tried them yet, but i hear Logitech makes them really well. read up on the G27 Racing Wheel. Ithink that should fit the bill for you. but remember not to buy unless you are absolutely sure about it (those wheels are a little pricey) i'll look up so more for you give you some more feedback in the near future good luck on your search!
