  • I like how sex is a key word haha

  • Im not black there for not a slave....

  • Wow this was recorded in 2009. How do you feel about the current OWS movement?

I think when this was recorded I was still watching Fox News. Weird thing is but a strong dose of LSD really opened my eyes. I haven't looked at the world the same since.

  • The systematic abuse is called RELIGION.

  • aha! u missed the important thing that makes us a slave the shackles!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @flipballaz93 shackles would be too obvious and we would rebel

we're not going to rebel when we get to sleep in a nice bed but have to work almost majority of the day because we're given constant comparisons to countries running older slave management software and told WE ARE LUCKY

  • Very well said, as for a change, your hundreds of million people can physically go and obliterate those few thousands "slave owners" of yours. Its simplify a matter of numbers, and no police or military will shut when he knows that another police man or soldiers might do that to his family. They will point the weapons at the "slaves owners".

  • we are mental slaves first everyhitng else comes after that

  • moar please!

  • there lenty of free meals walking around if you not fussy what kind of animal it is plenty of cats cant taste much different from a rabbit i bet

  • life stock animals shouldn't be owned if you can catch it then you should be allowed to eat it if you can't catch it yourself then have to stick with just veggies and what you can catch

  • do you a law against throwing out squatters in us in uk squatters can occupy a empty property and even if some comes and buys it the property owner can be stuck with the unwanted tenants are the people not slaves gypsies are free to i believe thats why people are trying to get rid of that way of life

  • being trapped

  • If We Are All Slaves Then Who Is The Slave Owner?

  • @MrHead1972 if you have to ask that question you,re truly fucked

  • @simpleearthling Now Hes Truly Fucked If He Calls Himself Without Knowing Who Owns Him.

  • Good message. Unfortunately, many folks with slave mentalities won't understand it.

  • You sir, are one enlightened human being, thanks for spreading truth. good videos!

  • The biggest joke is energy tax. over here in the Netherlands, i mean the EUSSR:

They will add added value tax: ON that energy tax. Yes! Double Taxing! Tax: on TAX! Yes, they can! because we are SLAVES! Same for fuel tax: we pay 1.65 euro per liter of fuel, out of which 80 percent... is tax! We could actually drive up to at least, AT LEAST 5 times further if we did not have this giant iron ball attached to us called 'tax'!

  • I had a total income of 20.000 euros last year. I had to pay 8000 income tax 1200 road tax 1200 fuel tax (i dont drive a lot) 600 energy tax so, i am left with about 10000 euro per year but wait! Added Value Tax will eat up another 2000 euro. So i have 8000 euro per year to spend, on house, food, car, everything. To spend on myself? 50 euros PER MONTH. Of all the work i do in a YEAR, I get a lousy freaking 3 percent of it: 600eur/y, to spend on MYSELF. A slave with a little pocket money!!!
  • Here in canada , the amount of taxe, interest and gas i pay is the equivalent of 10 month of hard work...just to go on in this system...im a fucking slave dude1 and its crazy how people dont see this..

  • you cute

  • Lorax2013,. 100 years ago the majority of people were living in poverty. Most children left school before age 12 to work to survive. Most kids were lucky if they had a pair of shoes. Workers had to work 14-16 hour days and most had a basic staple diet. Families were large so there was chronic over crowding and housing shortages. Either you dont know these things, or you do know and you're a typical teaparty/ conservative liar and propaganda merchant.

  • @tubester4567 100 years ago was 1911 and that was before the establishment of the federal reserve system which is still unconstitutional but their approach to fixing the structure of poverty was to say, "believe us - we will help you out, take you out of poverty, and bring great riches..."

-- 100 years later, "... but we'll also regulate the military-industrial complex, almost every major war, and design this system so it fails at a later point in time. Trust us! Just sign on the dotted line."

  • @tubester4567 what you have mentioned is absolutely nothing compared to what is going to happen should the dollar truly collapse, which, its current trend is showing - the devaluing of the dollar, the housing market problem, enhanced security of authoritative figures, and heavier taxes that are stuck at an artificially low rate. You are actually wrong, you're living -in- the inverted totalitarianism and you are believing in it.

  • Awesome video right here!

  • are you still making more videos? Your thoughts are awesome and make things easy to understand when Mainstream media seems to just make it confusing

  • Smart man you are. Yoda said.

  • Wise Man is Wise.

  • Please join with Patriot Storm it is the first step at gaining back our freedom!

  • We actually pay around 70-90% into taxes... whenever you buy anything, you pay for all the taxes and licenses between the raw product and your hand.

  • @l1xx3r

i'm curious, does it really amount to that much?

    how?

  • @thetellurian %40 income tax, plus %13 sales tax (where I am), plus %50 tax on items such as gas, cigs, alcohol, plus all the shipping of all the products where a large portion is fuel and half of that is tax. Then you add all the licenses, business licenses, liquor licenses, import fees and licenses, environmental taxes on the raw products, recycling taxes on all plastic (some places you pay for this, others the manufacturing does), and a million other taxes all on the consumers bill.

  • @l1xx3r wheres your proof for this? i mean i would like to know this.

  • @axlrod05 You need proof that all these taxes exists? Or that all these taxes are paid by the end consumer?

  • @axlrod05 what happens when you don't pay taxes? you get forcefully put into prison

the law is upheld by violence and the law is nothing more than a few rich old mens opinion on whats right/wrong yet they don't follow those laws case in point george w bush, illegal war kills millions of iraqies he walks around and gives speeches about his book

  • As a martial artist, as someone that wants to be one in the true sense, I'd say it's more about deception than kicking or punching. Think about that, you pay these people over ten years at least, and then...you gonna fight Brock Lesnar?

Anyway, Sun Tzu said as much, it is about deception. Obviously, governments are the best practitioners of martial arts, as they truly are. It's time to take the defensive goal of MA, and use REAL MA! I WILL BE FREE!

  • We do meet your fifth point of a slave society here in the U.S. Working a 9-5 office job is torture being performed on a regular consistent basis. It strips the self-worth and breeds a culture of people who believe they have no choice but to build pyramids for their lords and receive just enough in return to keep themselves alive. And they teach their children this, too. And so on.

    ~Jen

  • I like the way you think. In a way this is like unfolding the dark thruth about our reality in a positive way. I have always felt that something was wrong with the way life in North America is set, I just didn't know what it was. Now I know what it is. Thanks.

  • This is one of your best videos, thanks so much. It set off a light bulb for me. Cheers, and a huge thanks. I hope we will see more videos from you.

  • Systematic abuse that conditions the slaves to abuse and destroys their sense of self worth = school

  • i think that taxes dont really factor into this slavery because you are paying for stuff that is coming back to you. all the money dosent just go to obama where he takes a bath of diamonds. this money that you pay to the government is going to build the roads you drive or the schools your children go to

  • So basically you're saying it's ok to force people to give their money away? Without giving them a choice about where it goes? And no proof that it's actually going where they're being told it is? And knowing that most of it is going to fund an invasion that no sane person would support voluntarily?

    ~Jen

  • When I became an owner, I had been forced to take on partners. One of the partners used his power to overrule me and used the other partners against me. That partner was constantly trying to abuse the workers which I absolutely hated. I was manipulated. I also realized, I was sort of a cig marketing exec, which tore me apart. I finally quit because I found other means. I would love to atone for my sin. * I just bought " How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World." not cheap. Thank you.

  • I thought this would be more bullshit but you really talk a lot of sense. Very intelligent analysis.

  • In theory, I am a big fan of Voltaire famous ending of Candide: ”Il fault cultiver notre jardin”. To live a simple life as a self-owning farmer, would be a hard but free life.

  • Absolutely...those slow oppressive govenments are easy to outmaneuver....Greenspan, Bernake and Geithner have done me well by countering their ridiculous actions. It's easer today to get wealthy than any time since 1913.

  • How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World - Expensive book I can't find it for under $85.00

  • The Abuse of the people is simple. They are locked into a hopeless system. The cost of everything is rising with the jobs leaving. It's a physiological abuse as well as a physical abuse. The war on drugs is an oxymoron as there is a drug store on every corner of america. It is used to abuse the people by kicking down doors, keeping industrial hemp illegal, and holding you responsible for anything found in the used car you purchased. McCain wants to ban supplements and herbs. That is abuse.

  • Congratulations, Loren, on your appearance in "on the edge" with MK. Well done, brother! Well done. :o)

  • @kensho3 He was on a radio program? Where can i listen to it?

  • Found it! "on the edge" is max keisers show /watch?v=DIg16BYRWeM or search for 'Max Keiser speaking to Loren Howe' here on Utube.

I never knew lorax2013 full name till now, seems he's an author to, pretty cool stuff

  • I speak for the trees! :)

  • With the latter half of the statement, not the former. I believe that well, 99% of the population are slaves, but this hasn't happened over the last few generations; its been a lot longer than that.

"He who pays the piper picks the tune."

  • @5:27-5:32

    I believe you are incorrect.

  • We do have a systematic abuse of the population, it's called public schools. If you don't believe me, read "The Confederacy of Dunces" by John Taylor Gatto.

  • Its great to see people are waking up and seeing the capitalist system for what it is, as it only really serves the rich elite once it nears the end of its useful life... and we have finally arrived at its last gasps :D

There is hope, you just have to be willing to learn something new and break-free from your old traditions, check out "The Venus Project" and "Community Planet Foundation" for the betterment of ALL life!

Chasing money all-day is not the answer, nor will it ever solve our problems

  • I'm actually starting to think Lorax IS actually one of the smartest people on Youtube. It's all true. Individuality has been dead for so long, and empires become a ruling establishment... the internet made us see this truth that freedom is worth dying for, and that the reality of the world is truly darker than people around us imagined.

There's also an "unthinking" trait in slavery. To be uneducated is a trait of slavery, and they only value happiness than intelligence. Check out America...

  • awesome video, i found other videos similar ....1) is by stefbot statism is dead or story of your enslavement 2) we are slaves by vagabondsteve

  • Thank you for another wonderful video. Loren, you are one of few people who are heavy thinkers and even FEWER that are DOERS. You have motivated me to try as hard as I can to get over the short term hurdles of freedom. I liked your analogy of an alcoholic finding it easier to just have one more drink, rather than choose to say 'no'. I have already heeded your word to invest in items of value. I shall now hold the means of production in an ethical, harmonious business. All the best. Nicholas.

  • Lorax - the smartest guy on YT.

  • I think we are abused...patriot acts...cameras on every street corner etc.

    i think that constitutes abuse-

  • ZEITGEIST! :D

  • You really are cute :-)

  • you are a very smart man

  • Can you expand on the slaves giving power to masters to fix problems as an example? Are you speaking about people who need their xbox or cars serviced so they take them into microsoft or Jiffy Lube. Or are you speaking of people of see a potential criminal on their block who call the police? And why does that make them a slave?

  • @mbozza ... I think an example (which I am closely tied to) would be people complaining about the price or quality or availability of food. They expect the government to step in and monitor these things to ensure food standards and trade practices are adhered to. My solution to that problem is to assist people in growing their OWN food - and catering for their own needs. It is one step closer to living a sustainable life outside the stranglehold of the government.

  • @mbozza ..in addition.. obviously not everyone can cater for ALL of the food they require considering that not everyone owns a piece of workable land. I provide the skills to teach these people to best utilise the land and resources that they have already, not make them feel helpless if they live in an apartment. There are solutions to every problem. Even if they only make a small difference, it is one step closer to autonomy.

  • Compelling arguements!

  • Excellent :)

  • Jct: You can repeat that there's no escape over and over but there is. With Africa trading with mobile-phone minutes, Arabia trading with mobile-phone card credits, with Hours being traded in Ithaca, with Greencredits being traded in LETS, Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist, offering social currencies to their databases, the banks get no interest and the movement to cut the middleman out of the usury is growing. Just start your own local currency, stop using theirs and watch the banks die!

  • AINT THIS THE TRUTH! and VOTING IS RIGGED people....SELECTED NOT ELECTED, FDR! SELECTED by the CRIMINAL banks and corporations......yep its ALL rigged! 6 billion slaves.....WELCOME BACK TO THE DARK AGES?

WHEN are WE going to stop this criminal MADNESS?

  • @OurLordLennon

     wow!! so true

  • Great video! You should be Ron Paul's running mate in 2012.

  • My take...

The Debt based Dollar perpetuates Slavery.

Tangible assets, Buildings, Land, Gold and especially Silver breaks the bonds of slavery.

Of course...you're correct... people (their thoughts) enslave themselves. Good Video Lorax...always nice to visit here.

  • Refreshing take on things, and I tend to agree with you. I think you're absolutely right about facing the truth in order to overcome it. Well said, good vid.

  • Dear mr lorax2013, I found you today, and have watched some of your videos, and so far, i very much enjoy the intelligence you spew.

I also like your name, 2013, which basically is a nod to the future, saying "i will remain, beyond all of this apocolyptic 2012 bullshit, no matter what happens" and that is very encouraging.

I ride the bus to work everyday, and i have one hour to reflect on life, n such before i arrive at my destination. I also came to the same conclusion about slavery that you

  • I disagree that we are all slaves. I think we are all serfs. I think it is a better definition.

  • 100% i agree...That is why i started a LLC..purchase silver..for now..then gold later..and i dont compare my success to the rich but only my own idea of success..I took some notes on N Hill, Rich dad poor dad..trump..and many others. also..thanks for the info....!!!!

  • Did the anti - technologists of 1960 predict this enslavery? What was their reason for calling "technology the root of all evil"?

  • Excellent commentary. I would suggest that the ritual humiliation at airports, especially as body scanners are introduced, is a big step toward meeting the final criteria you outline. When scanned, the gov keeps a record of your naked body and, importantly, forces you to raise your arms as if being arrested. This conditions people to "put 'em up" when asked by uniformed gov workers. It may never change us, but children born into such a system will be docile.

  • I found my freedom in Jesus.

  • lorax, I believe that this is a topic that's really studied. See this, for example:

"Statism is Dead - Part 3, The Matrix",

    watch?v=P772Eb63qIY

  • lorax, whats your favorite chapter in the harry browne book?

  • Interesting perspective. Thanks for being solution focused. It creates a nice balance in your comentary.

  • great video, thank you. I highly recommend checking out the book The Ascent of Humanity by Charles Eisenstein. It is a phenomenal book explaining how we got into this situation and how to get out of it, with new frameworks of thinking, new money systems, and many other awesome practical solutions. Its online for free also, and its really inspiring. Thanks again.

  • Forget a collective movement. This species is hopeless. There are exceptions like you, but you are suppressed by the stupidity of the majority.

  • It is very hard to disagree with you unfortunately.

  • @annyms21 its statements like that that suppress

  • @annyms21 no

  • Don't forget that property taxes are a small business killer. Paying taxes on something that one owns makes no sense.

  • Once again you are right on my friend, after watching many of your videos. Your image quality has improved alot and I command you on it. Thank you for the time and effort you bother to put into this endeavour. It serves many like me, I'm sure. Namaste!

    ~Dana~

  • FINALLY! Someone with some suggested solutions. I am SO sick of all the damn arguing and complaining and no solution. ANY solution. Something more then get mad and beg the ruling class to help us. Well done.

  • Can you make a video on how can we best oppose the nwo?

  • We may be abused (Point 5) in more subtle ways than leg irons and whippings. Eg, the reduction of liberties and privacy is abuse, in and of itself.

    mabye?

  • Hi Lorax, I have seen most of your videos.. you have great points.. I think it needs some time for a "freshmen" to accept some of the facts you mention.. as the reality is a bit cruel. I have been thinking how to make the people to understand what is happening with the world as I think in few years the some action might be needed..

  • ..and I think you do it right way - inform first. I am 25 and before I started my own business I never realized how thief strategy is the government running against us. It made me angry. I started to asking myself if this is fair and how to escape from this. I would need to know how can you be so calm knowing all the bad stuff that is happening all around you.. it makes me completely mad. Let me know the secret so I can live with it =) Have a great day Kubis

  • Property taxes is what is keeping one from being completely separate from the system. The yuppies want high property taxes for schools for their kids. They should send them to private school if they want top notch education. Break the property tax shackle and you are free!

  • that's right slaves !!! dont question the new world order !!! take your medication and vaccines (as directed) and watch television

  • man only 2000 views...

  • hey loren its cory from akron again, with the federal treasury system is a perpetual debt system making us basically slaves right off the bat. the treasury owned by the UN contoled by fiot owned by germany. we need a tyranny response team much like the IRA in Ireland. the elite are now testing us to see if we will take it. if action isnt taken within 10 years the elite will carry out their plans for globalization. plz tell me how you think infiltration of the system could be acheived. thank you

  • Follow the rules, but keep your inner self awake...

  • I always enjoy your videos.

  • I'd say that Americans are subjected to a systematic abuse that destroys their self worth. Television commercials often attack people for simply being imperfect.

    Good video.

  • @airdreamlove Also, once you gain perspective on these issues and start building yourself (I've isolated myself to do this) those around (me) automatically started attacking as well, for being selfish... Nobody seems to care when I point out that by destroying myself for 25+ years has led to bad health, a broken family, and few friends; to the point where I can no longer really function. I'm simply told there's nothing I can do: "let it go". I've stopped my world and am using the body to heal.

  • @airdreamlove yup i second that. Also The consistent state of fear that the gov't places on its citizens and also the constant pitting against of groups against eachother- political, racial, economical etc.

  • @airdreamlove I totally agree, I mean in this day and age no one is overtly attacking our self-worth by calling us profanities while cracking a whip, but they are doing very subtly through advertising, media and propaganda. They are chipping away at our self esteem.

  • this video is bugged!

i copied it to my facebook page...tried to delete it after everyone had seen it...it wouldn't delete...when i logged back in to my FB account it was empty...like ALL my friends and ALL my activity GONE.

thanx to whoever is responsible for that....you prick

  • Off topic here. Saw your post on fasting on yoga yak. Can't help but notice the clarity of your eyes, the lighting? or did you cleanse as well? Never are mine as clear, even upon the conclusion of an extended fast. Ah, just healthy maybe!

  • It is all relative. The choices are endless as to how you want to conduct your life and who you want to answer. An unconventional life seems to less confining, the most liberating. Doesn't seem to be that important as many chose to live quite within the limits of convention.

  • I really enjoyed this. Thanks for your thoughts. I think point #5 is also relevant. Any THREAT of violence, incarceration, or other forms of punishment, etc for not conforming, is also a form of systematic abuse. This is rife all over the world.

A solution to this point is to build up self esteem, self confidence and a higher consciousness while still in the grip of external slavery. Having a higher consciosness tends to change outside circumstances for the better.

  • Many great points made - well done. However, I don't think we can look back just 100 years in the US and think the situation was somehow better then than it is now. Just watch the PBS documentary "Butte, America" and the story of that town's history with the Anaconda Copper Mining Company. I think you'll see that slavery has been around in working class America for a long time - maybe since the beginning.

  • Slaves look to the master - like your points.

  • It's time to WAKE UP America.

    Government=BIG Business....PERIOD!

    Watch: FREEDOM TO FASCISM

    Peace

  • so what business can we start to be free?

  • As an individual you can avoid taxes easily if you produce your own product. However the second you need a bank account problems show up.

Thus how does one grow and make roots when you can see oppression is growing?

  • Systematic abuse does indeed occur.

    Examples;

Soldiers using DU without them knowing the consequences while the elite did know, Gulf War.

    Chemtrails.

    Fluoride.

    Police abuse

    Aspartam, MSG.

These are a few, many more examples.

We're indeed slaves, both us living in Norway and you guys living in the US.

  • Much respect to Lorax , I am reading the book you recommended "How I found freedom in a unfree world" Thank you the book is brilliant and I live a freer life thanks to your videos.

  • thank you so much for sharing very interesting video....this is true and very usefull.....

  • you have some of the best videos on the internet

  • I just wanted to thank you for these videos, they are very informative and extremely helpful!

Around 4:10 you talk about Americans being in debt and staying there. That's exactly how I feel and cannot figure out on why it's so true. Do you think it's really a system the Government has put into place for us or did we just create this situation for ourselves? We obviously got ourselves into debt but it seems too easy for us to do it.

P.S. Have you seen, Into the Wild?

  • Eliminate the super rich, tax legacy wealth, turn privately owned corporations into socially owned corporations. That would be a start to an efficient economy.

When you have an economy that pays people more money for holding a surplus instead of doing productive work, then you have yourself a broken economy.

  • Great video overall, 5 stars :)

  • Are you saying 100 years ago there wasn't slavery in the US? I guess that depends who you're talking about.

Also, I'm pretty sure we're at 5 out of 5. Everybody knows that there's a systematic conditioning that destroys the citizen's sense of self worth and power. We've been forced to play this "game" for decades now that we think it's all there is. We are trapped in a broken system. This is slavery and you know it. I think you just wanted me and others to make your point for you. :p Done!

  • do you think the federal banking system will fail?

  • I think any leveraged system, like the Fed, needs to feed on constant growth. Without growth, there are no additional goods and services to balance out the new money created. Therefore, the theft of counterfeiting becomes apparent through high inflation, and the population learns more quickly to escape it. So yes, I think issues like peak oil, or general awareness through the internet, will greatly damage the banking industry's position in the near future.

  • thankyou, i personally think the dollar is going to go bust very soon, many alternative energy sources are in fruition and this is surly going to end americas fuel power. with no value to pay off IOUs to countries, that only leaves services! Is it possible China will become importers of low cost American made products?

  • would love to know your thoughts on Manoftruths predition of the fedural bank system failing in 2012?

  • Manoftruths prediction is incorrect since that banking system has been broken since Reagan was in office.

  • lol, true

  • What a happy coincidence! I recieved my hard copy of Browne's work in the mail just this morning...

  • watch?v=W4Na9TcipS4 for some scary shit...joe public are allowing themselves to be robbed

  • Thanks for this very well thought out video. Your videos are always thought provoking as well.

  • "people enslave themselves"

    chase your dreams :)

  • For #5, I see systematic emotional abuse that hurts people's self esteem in our society in the media. Commercials and other media teach women to hate themselves and that if they don't look a certain way, they aren't worthwhile. It's truly sick.

  • Wake up! That applies to men as well nowadays.

  • Yes it is obvious that your way of being free is to stay ignorant. Stay free my friend.

  • Familiarity breeds contempt. Always a pleasure watching your vids sir.

  • Yes in the illusion we are slaves, therefor lets get out of the illusion. How you ask? Find out who you are and slavery will dissapear. Be in the world but not of it!

  • some people deserve to be slaves and there is a very good reason why they are slaves. Although what you say is true, i d rather in live as a slave in the US rather than as a slave in most other countries (with some exceptions).

  • I enjoyed your commentary--insightful. I'm interested in knowing what your attitude is toward up lifting your fellow man? Can the masses be helped? Or should one even care?

  • I wish I had mentioned this a bit more in the video. Yes, I think people "should" help others and this is my and your individual responsibility. However, I try to focus more on how I can help others rather than how I can force "you" to help others.

  • People will never abolish slavery and fufill what marxism hypothesized, too few people are prepared to, as you said 'actually do something about it than just complain'

  • These arguments will appeal to psychologically immature individuals who have not grown out of the "mummy should give it to me" attitude to life.

  • i see alcohol, drugs, tv culture and porno as means of keeping people pacified. Since I've started self healing and meditating I feel more liberated. I may not be from an outside observer, perhaps I've changed me means of pacification but at least I am working for myself now and working to make myself wealthy and subsequently my community better off outside of the influence of State government.

  • Excellent thoughts.

If I'm honest - I feel overwhelmed and trapped in my circumstances at the moment.

The idea of being economically free is appealing.

  • This guy sounds like a Ron Paul libertarian, which means no government, police, army, NIH, Fire Dept., CDC and or other government agency. Sounds like in his world it would be every man for himself and survival of the fittest. So if a tribe of people were to get together and slaughter a family that they didn't like there would be no recourse or accountability for killing those people since there wouldn't be any laws or agencies to bring justice to those people that were murdered.

  • Comment removed

  • pongman - You are showing your ignorance again. Ron Paul is not for any of that. That is a scenerio you made up in your sick mind. He wants to end the Federal Reserve and the IRS, and if you have have a brain so do you.

  • Ok let's get this straight. If the government can't pay for law and order then there wont be one. How do you pay for it? Pass out the collection basket?

  • That's a good point, and I didn't want to get into endless philosophical discussions so I tend to avoid videos on political theory. I'm personally not an anarchist or against all govt. I'm more along the lines of a Libertarian who prefers that govt focus on protection of rights but otherwise limit itself. Just my preference, and I'm not denying your right to live under whatever system you choose in a voluntary community. I know there are still 1000 challenges to any political philosophy.

  • I don't think you can have it both ways. In order for government to protect our rights, the government needs money. Just about every service the government has is there to protect us. Oh and should we forget, that the government is of the people.
