I love it when I see other people of different races (other then chinese) in Hong Kong. It's even more awesome when they speak cantonese! I've seen black and indians, and even some white people in Hong kong that speak fluent cantonese.
For those of you who don't know, there is actually a "brown town" in Hong Kong so seeing Indians speaking cantonese isn't a huge surprise (still a surprise though, but NOT that unthinkable)
After a few hundred generations of cross cultural breeding, the dominant race on the planet will have beige skin and be fluent in whichever chinese and indian dialects become dominant by this time. English will eventually become a niche language or be phased out altogether due to its many inconsistencies and ever increasing list of rule exceptions.
Hey, this is my grandma's dialect on my mommy's side.My uncle and her speak in Cantonese most of the time when I go visit them.Even though my mom is not a fluent speaker she can still understand Cantonese so you can tell my mom's side is originated from the Canton province.
Completely understandable. I don't know why people are complaining about his accent. Sure, it's there but it doesn't affect the one's ability to comprehend it at all.
This is nice news but nothing no one can do. We assume it's a great accomplishment because it's Chinese and many, many people presume Chinese is difficult to learn. Why? Because you don't see ABCs.
Are you supposed to be surprised if you're Chinese born in America and you speak fluent English? What about a Mexican born in America and speaks fluent English? No. Why? Because it's the "official language" of America
what's wrong with indians? my best friend is from bangladesh and she loves indian culture. i don't know much about indian culture myself, but i certainly love their (homecooked) food and their clothes.
you say kick indians out of chinese land? i say send the racists to the moon.
i'm of chinese ethnicity but i totally disaprove of such racists comments and thoughts. You're a total fool and for your own benefit, i hope your views change.
hmm i'm a british-born chinese, and my english is actually better than my cantonese XD my parents always referred to indians as 'a-cha', so ive always thought that was the proper term. if it's rude in hk, then what's the correct term for indian in cantonese? and i don't get what the fuss is with indians having chinese names. plenty of chinese people i know have english names. do 'foreigners' think it's weird to see chinese people speak fluent english?
actually, you can't say "a-cha" anywhere, its kinda like calling a black guy a "nigga".. In Cantonese, we just called them "yun doe"..."India"...About the lang. its more exposure than anything else. Most people in the world learn and speak English and English is all around us so its normal. However, when you hear a person from less known country speaking a language from another less known country, it strikes you as odd because is much less common. Cool
ahh thanks for that. so am i right in assuming that indians would be called 'yun doe yan'? and does it apply to people from bangladesh? my best friend is from bangladesh and i'd like to know the proper term to call her x.x
just leave the indians alone man..y do most ppl just support white people speaking cantonese or mandarin..i mean isnt it gay wen they also change their name into chinese or try to b wanabee chinese????indians r cool too ok..not just white.
This is a better video compared to those indian-chinese hate videos which are created and supported by ignorant people who never actually been to the outside world
why do people want to learn this language? china is one of the worst countries in the world, theres nothing good about china besides the "unique" food, and the language does not sound appealing(sounds like having a cock in your throat)
i think youre just looking for attention by doing this
Actually, since you are from China, do you always have cock in your throat (Like every day) since you speak Chinese?
For your information, every language is beautiful in it's own way so stop insulting languages that you don't like. I mean languages are one of cultural knowledges and we are treated well if we know somebody else's language and they will appreciate it.
An Indian dude with a chinese name? That sounds pretty disgusting. I mean is he ashamed of his nationality or what? What does his family think of him with a chinese name like that? Sounds to me like his family disowned him and threw him out for good. Gill Paul,eh? Should be Grilled Paul.
that is probably one of the most ignorant responses I have ever heard, Or american... you don't understand what his deal is so shut your dirty fucking mouth faggot shit
greatguy200: Wow you are as ignorant as a human being can get. What a faggot you are. Is that how your mom raise you? Your mom that biatch must have done a poor job,. She should stick to sucking cocks which is about the best that biatch can do.
and also because they haven't got the typical chinese look and some people, even chinese cantonese speakers, don't expect to see an indian that can speak cantonese fluently, or for some indians with cantonese accent when they speak english. so that's why they find it funny.
There's a few hundred or thousands of Indians in Hong Kong who speaks pretty good Cantonese. Do you know the Indian dude who's a Hong Kong TVB actor? What's he's Indian name? I already know his Chinese name. Ta.
