Anyone remember Joey and his group playing at the Peppermint Lounge in the early 60's. I was there and it was a great show.

Joey Dee and his "Team", wata a history and associated events ! Late 50s Early 60s @ the Peppewrmint Lounge and the story of Ronnettes being there. I guess best things are not planned !

I was in NYC during the l961 twist craze and managed to get up to the Peppermint Lounge a few times. Didn't get to see any celebs there, at least none I recognized. Joey's band was a good one, especially live. The lounge at that time had three or more bands for continuous live music; when one band took the obligatory break, another started up just like a segue from one song into the next.

I was there aroung the same time. Nice looking back on these times isn't it? I remember the tables being so tiny.
