  • Beautiful!

  • @BalconyOasis Thanks - and thanks for watching!

  • Hello from Ukraine! In our country a landscape design as early as young age and climate is severer, therefore we study by your videos. Thank you, for you wonderful gardens.

  • @royalty341 Thanks for watching - and have a beautiful day in the lovely Ukraine (we would love to visit your country some day!).

  • I'm building something like this in my garden here in NW CT. We're built into a hillside, a fairly modest incline and we're lucky enough to have a little flat area of about 1/4 acres, about 50 ft up from the level of the house, which is where I want to built a little terrace like the one you show here. We're also quite lucky to have an abundance of Granite slabs, which will save us thousands on steps and patio.

I'll be happy if my project turns out half as charming as this one. 5 Stars :)

  • This is a beautiful landscape for a restaurant and a terrace. ;]

    Very nicee.

  • Thanks for watching, Taylor! It would be fun to eat up on the terrace, overlooking the rest of the yard, wouldn't it?

  • its nice ,but what is the background noise

  • Sorry about that! The noise was extensive yard work being done up the hill from this house -- lots of tree cutting, trimming, and chipping. It's funny, but we got so used to it that afternoon that after awhile we didn't notice it! Thanks so much for watching! Best, Jay

  • The only thing I can think of is SPIDERS!

  • There definitely are spiders out here in the country, but they aren't too bothersome, unless you dig around in the leaves by the foundations of outbuildings -- then you can get a large wolf spider or two. I've been surprised by a few of them, but nothing bad. Thanks for watching! Best, Jay

  • I love the wall of stone. After seeing that I will have to address the lack of privacy in my garden. I love the seating area in the video. I have been inspired to make my garden more feel more intimate.

  • So glad this inspired you! I learned a lot when I sat down once with a professional landscape architect and he told me that it's all about making "rooms" outdoors. He was big into "secret gardens" that take you around a path or around some kind of building or trees and then -- SURPRISE! -- you come to an oasis of privacy.
