  • ever since I heard this song I loved it. Johnny Z (WFAS 103.9 and l06.3 on Sunday nites 7-ll) plays this song reguarly for me. It is one of the best lindy dances I know. I sang with the Castletones in the late l950's and my husband is singing DJ Bobby James. We play this song every Friday nite and everyone loves it...> Where are these guys now???? Great sound

  • Linda I'd love to Doo Woop with You.

  • I'm slow on the uptake, Yes I did, I used to dance with Steve Lewis. Who did you dance with, cool cat?

  • I love this! These are my Home Boys! There was a great group like this Doo-Wopping on every other corner in South Philly during the Fifties and I miss it.

From a real cool, nobody's fool, tough South Philly broad!

  • I think that I know you. Did you ever dance on American Bandstand?

  • Yes, of course I did! And The Geator's great dances too. Didn't you? And why didn't you ever ask me to dance?

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! These are my home boys! Every other street corner in South Philly had a great group like this Doo-Wopping on it all through the Fifties. Love this. They're great!!!

  • Other than the original record, that is the best version I've heard. Great job!

  • Yeah, this is the real deal!

  • Great job! Looked like you and the guys were having a lot of fun with this song. "Long Tall Girl" by the Carnations has always been one of my favorite uptempo doowop songs.

  • original version was done by the Carnations on Lascay#3002 in 1961.

  • how do i listen to the orignal long tall girl by the carnations

  • I remember when i was a kid there was a doo wop group on almost every corner in south philly lol..those were the days!

  • Damn you guys were good.. That sounds like Richie Finizio (bass of Tony and The Twiliters and a shit load of other Philly groups)

  • great loved it!!!!
