@giants311 well you can replace the rope for around 6 dollars US. remove housing , wind it up, feed rope thru it, into notch on pulley knot it, then CAREFULLY net the pulley go. anyhoo you can start these without rops cause they are friction drive. no clutch. aka a bump start.

they are VERY simple motors , i moved to dirtbikes and can take apart they engines so yeah im pretty sure a gayped engine would be easy to do .. shitty little 22cc engine thats air cooled and seizes up if you go full throttle for too long .. what a pile of shit , oh and if you carnt clean a carb then your an idiot .. i get a gayped carb apart and cleaned in about a minute , all you need in a screwdriver , simple as fuck ..

@dannyboy768 same with mine it is almost 20yo with it original engine. a g2f a zenoah . or perhaps his gayped IS chinese. who knows. there is a reason these things bring the money they do on the secondary market. anyone that knows a goped will know this. And a bit more than a screwdriver isneeded to properly clean a carb. the g2f engine is also used in rc applications. can run over 10k and not hiccup or lockup or shutup. the newer ones can as well. cant speak for the chinese things.

nice the spindle drive is ok but i had the one with the clutch well it wasnt really a clutch but it had a handle and when you squeezed it it would tilt the motor up lifting the spindle off the back tire it sucked cuz you had to push with your foot then put the motor down or it would stall i went through so many tires that way so i went and bought a chain drivin one it works way better lol

Can some one plz explain what is the difference between Direct drive and Centrifugal clutch because im buying one soon

direct drive has a spindle that rubs on the wheel to make it turn and you are always moving if you want to stop you have to either shyt the motor down or pick up the back wheel. With a clutch there are metallic pads that have heavy duty springs on them and the centrifical force of the engine spinning throws them out towards a clutch bell which is usually connected to your pinion gear. a clutch allows you to stop with the motor still runing but there will be slippage on acceleration mo maitenance
