Metal is a broad area. I don't know what you'd call this if not metal. Not trying to convert you or anything, just trying to not get you wrong.

But I have to ask why others can't call themselves true fans for liking all their music. Does it work the other way if you like just their recent work or their 90s work? Calling yourself a true fan and only like a part of it sounds like someone called dibs only true fandom. It sounds like a group says Metallica turned "false" at some point, just saying.

What if they're still a teenager like me? im only 13, almost 14 so i wouldn't know what they said in the 80s and 90s and early 00s. to Bands older stuff & like their 70's stuff but the 80's stuff was Heaveir/Better ozzy-judas priest. when i heard Ride the Lightning i was like Wow, Awsome tape. ive met some young kids also who say Ride the Lightning blows load away & you too can easly check out bands older lps/cds.of course the music sounds is important thats why people like their older songs they were incredible!
