  • Seva's such a great organization. I've been sponsoring them for many years without even realizing this is Wavy Gravy's life and sight saving charity. My heart goes out to him and their wonderful eye surgeons, staff, and volunteers restoring the gift of sight to people all over the world that would otherwise remain blind. Wishing you Love and Light Mr. Wavy Gravy, ...Grateful Child/Wes

  • minds were made to be blown....mr. natural says

  • Saw this guy at woodstock ...wow

  • Wavy seems like a nice guy here, he's not. He's so full of himself, he needs to leave Berkeley alone.

Where does he do all this good??? Where are

    those he helps?

I'm a Berkeley Telegraph Ave merchant and the only time I hear from Wavy is when I won't give him stuff for free.

Guess what I've been in Berkeley for 70 years and I won't give you anything for free in the next 70 years.

    Try the moon.

  • I'm so glad I wasn't born when that kind of idiot was culturally relevant.

  • It was actually a song that he wrote himself. Not blues specific. We were having a discussion about different kinds of instruments when Wavy pulled this out and started playing. He is actually very interesting and there is more than meets the eye! Thanks for watching the video!

  • love that man

  • I think this guy is a hippie or something.

  • Really? Wow. (is that a bad thing?)

  • Wavy Gravy = pure awesomeness! :-)

  • I think it's "barbeque bob", his version of "goin up the country" is from 1927 or 1928.

Knowing that Canned Heat did a whole lot of old blues/standard covers AND had among them thousands of original 78's, my guess is probably right.

  • I think I read somewhere that the Blind Owl adapted Bull Doze Blues by Henry Thomas, using that as the basis for Going Up The Country. I'd say that's probably the original playing at the end.

  • Sounds like the brown acid did lots of premenent damage to Mr Gravy's cerebral cortex.

  • yep

  • Grooovvy baby !!!!!
