These are not slicks but they are not street tires either. They are classified as a competition tire. They are Yokohama Advan A048 from TireRack.
BTW, George ( the Porsche driver) is a great guy. We talked several times between sessions. In all fairness he was new to the car at the time and still learning its full potential.
What mods? On my SAAB 92-x, I have a Prodrive cold air intake, COBB ECU mod, Porterfield R4-S racing pads all around, and removed the seat back and interior. Fun car ;)
Alot of Cobb. Cobb AccessPort, uppipe, downpipe, TBE, front and rear swaybars, SS brakelines, slotted rear disk with cobb pads, front Stoptech BBK with Pagid RS 4-4 Orange pads. On the track I run the Advan A048s on SSR Type C RS 17" rims. This rear I added RCE Brake Cooling Kit and removed the dust guard to try and reduce the fade I was getting in this video. I also installed the WL-KCA359 Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit this year but have not been back to the track to test it yet.
The intake is stock with the exception of a K&N Air filter and I removed the snorkel in the front passenger fender. I also have Recaro race seats with 6 point driver and 5 point passenger harnesses to keep my butt from sliding around. :) And of course the gauges but they have no affect on performance. I use this car as my daily driver. I love being able to carry the track tires in the hatch and just running them at the track. My first time out I toasted the stock 16s :)
Wasn't this a practice seasion? with blocking and limited passing zones? and didn't the Saab have nitros an a 502 Chev v8?

Yes passing was limited to designated zones. There are four passing zones that start with a green flag and end at the red flag.
The Saab drivetrain is stock other than modified exhaust and ECU. No nitro or turbo upgrade.

Nicely done, it is hard to drive smoothly at those speeds. Are you on slicks?
Great video. I wonder what the GT2 driver was thinking seeing you in the rear view mirror all the time ;)
