  • she should seriously put her hair up... my hairs too long to spot with my hair down because it whips in my face

  • Don't criticize. Shes actually doing a good job, nobodys perfect.

  • Is is really hard to learn to do this? Because for my school's dance team, they do like 20 of these in a row all together totally in sync and I can't comprehend how you could possible stay balanced.

  • She is a great dance instructor. That is the correct way to do the turn, and she broke it down and taught it clearly and simply.

  • Like it how people are still trolling even though this vid is like 3 years old lol.

  • Does anyone know if you put your leg in the back or the front in some of the other videos I watched they put there leg in the front of there knee

  • @xoDancerMusic12 its all about preference!

  • She is a good dancer? stfu

  • Hey, she breaks it down and it's helping me. Besides, you don't turn out in jazz unless you're told to...and i'm not even a dancer...She doesn't claim to dance like Balanchine....

  • 1:52 hahaha awkward landing! ahahahaha

  • god she would annoy me

  • leave her aloine stop judging At least she had the guts that you didnt to post a video on how to do something you dont know how TO

  • This was great, thanks alot! :)

  • *teacher....my bad...see i'm not perfect either

  • hey, she's not amazing. but she isn't bad either! what is wrong with a dance techer wanting to share the art of dance to people?! and half of u haters probably suck....

  • thankyou this helped me a lot ! you're a great teacher :D

  • Yes. shes not a perfect dancer but don't bash her guys, bottom line is she broke the steps down well and actually explained what she was doing which is just what you need in a video like this.

  • shes sucks, i am prefect so i can say that :)

  • @skittles11forever you seem to like putting that on vides. you dont even dance do you...? go find a new hobby other than trolling other peopls dancing

  • @skittles11forever @iceskatercharlotte LOL You're So PERFECT!? Try working on your grammar a bit. :)

  • @skittles11forever yikes.... Lets see here, how about if you think you're so "perfect"; you post a video doing all of these demonstrations and they have to be "perfect" as you say you are.

  • shes old. dont be bashing on her. she's probably ALOT better than alot of you people.

  • That is not a proper prep.

  • @cutiepaige101 THANKYOU!!!! I feel everything about this video is just a bit off...

  • @LaPommeDore :) Glad im not the only one who thinks that!

  • Leg is to low and needs to be turned out.

  • she is not bad

she is a teacher i think

  • your amazing!

  • Fail at 1:55.

  • she really needs to find her center

  • this is, by far, the best tutorial on how to do these things on the internet. She's amazing, I actually am kind of getting these things thanks to her!

  • she's good, but one thought... doesn't your ankle bend? not your foot? because if my foot bent (i'm not in ballet) i would be worried..

  • YOUR REALLY GOOD!!!

    <3

  • you suck! you beat back front but i guess you never learned thatt!

  • @theloveofdance16 fouettes arnt necessarily taught like that always, give her a break i do them the way she does them as well.

  • @x3MADdiix3x well then you dont know the right way do do them!

  • @x3MADdiix3x well if you wanna do them right you beat front!!!

  • fouettes are used in many styles of dance. They are not limited to one style..

  • nice job you did a good job explaining! but you might want to learn how to do fouettes befor you try and make a video of it...but nice job! :)

  • Nice job sister......I can see some dance teachers have not tought thier dancers respect for all who love to dance.

  • Wow.. You even pronounced fouetté wrong. And you call that full speed?? FULL SPEED MY BUTT!! Get off the computer and work on your dancing.

  • @rati5547 if its called jazz dancing i dont think it has to be exactly like ballet and as fast as it too just saying, but i do see what you are trying to say

  • you talk to us like were five u sound like a robot

  • 1. your supposed to prepare turned out

    2. your really stiff.

    3. your hands and arms look tense

    4. your leg is supposed to be hip height.

please have someone do this who accually can do this correctly

  • @XoPPDoX actually you aren't supposed to prepare turned out.....

  • @bammitshaley if its a ballet turn then yes.

  • @bammitshaley turned out is ballet style but in jazz you don't turn out right .?

  • Thank you! I have had troubles with fouette turns, but you broke it down so well!!:-)

  • full speed my ass

  • you guys are so mean to her.. she's probably better than you, you're not perfect either, my god

  • @lyssalunatic okay i agree some comment are mean but some are just giving constructive criticism. Even if she is better than some of the people commenting they still know what they are talking bout and can give her advise to improve :)

  • and don't tilt your head when you spot, it just makes it harder

  • @frangipanigirlcz I gotta agree when you tilt your head doing these u can tell because of the way your turns will go

  • Comment removed

  • Fouette turns are used for BALLET not jazz. and you can NOT show someone how to "jazz dance". its a style. youre still on releve when you bring your right leg to passe too. dont say it's easy to do them faster because you have to get them perfect slow to increase any speed. there is no such things full speed.

  • @malloryrose2 Actually fouette turns ARE used in jazz. I do ballet and jazz and we learn them in both :)

  • @malloryrose2 actually, fouette turns are used in jazz. many jazz choreographers use fouette turns instead of a typical jazz turn. get your facts straight and stop trying to sound like you know more about dance than a dance instructor.

  • would it be easier to learn this or the a la seconde first?

  • @PerfectImage47 personally a la seconde for me.

  • fouettes are ballet turns in second are jazz f.y.i.

  • dont pop your heel. k thanks.

  • she shouldnt be doing a beat to change..... she shouldnt have to change at all

  • @emilyanngilley she is doing a fouetté turn. In the turn you're talking about, dthe leg doesn't go back to passé. It stays out in second...

  • um... who taught how to dance????

  • @Stretchynick who taught u to make proper sentences...

  • It was a typo. I know there should be a "you" in the sentence but, I could not remove the comment after it was posted.

  • I am trying out for the talent show and i am doing a jazz dance. I need help finding some songs to dance to! Can you help me? I want a song with a fast beat. Something that i will enjoy dancing to and people will enjoy watching! Help me out please!!!!

  • @xXRETROINDIEBABEXx Aint Nothing Wrong With That BY Robert Randolph

  • So pretty much everyone does the La Seconde Turn and calls it a Fouette turn.. it angers me. =/

  • Why does everyone have to be so critical of this video and the dancer...get a life!

  • thanks for the help

  • No, NarwalOrchestra, it's definatey pronounced how she said it.

  • im pretty sure its pronounced "foy-eh-tay"

  • Thank you!! This helped me SOO much.!

  • Yes, for anyone reading this who doesn't know, "fouetté" is properly pronounced as in the French--"fwe-tay," basically.

  • you pronounced it wrong these people are idiots

  • it is similar to a pirouette and an a la seconde. but a pirouette, you dont extend your leg to second and in an a la seconde, you keep your leg in seconde without going back into passe

  • these seem so similar to a la seconde's

    ... well to me

    good video
