I personally think with all the people here in the US who have weapons for sports ,hunting ,collecting etc you would have mad chaos if a law was passed not to be able bare arms . I don't think the American people would give up there weapons no matter what and there more people with weapons in there houses than people who don't in the US . I doubt even Washington could have imagined the violent, ego-driven, greedy world we live in today. Mechanisms used by Western governments to control the population cannot be combated using guns. Non-compliance and civil disobedience works, blood shed, however, is futile.

I speak from experience. Here in the UK I don't worry about whether someone is carrying a gun or not, and gun related crimes are as low as can be expected.
The only threat from our government, and yours, is the taking away of our freedom by using fear and intimidation (Patriot Act, SOCPA) and provoking other countries (e.g. the Middle East.)

It stands to reason that the more guns within society, the greater the risk of gun crime. So to reduce crime, why not just ban firearms apart from those used for licensed hunting? I mean, if you want a safer environment, they why purposely introduce a lethal weapon that can so easily be concealed? It makes no sense.

What you say isn't true. First, criminals in your country have firearms (pistols), your government just doesn't know it. Criminals don't follow gun bans or laws of any kind. Second, if we have 10 law abiding pistol owners and 1 criminal with a pistol, guess who is committing the crime. The gun is a scapegoat. It's entirely dependent on who is holding it. Criminals still have access to pistols in your country, illegally.

Yes, some UK criminals possess firearms, but we have 'armed' response units of the police to deal with that as best they can. We're all somehow controlled/manipulated/imprisoned by our government, but that is a separate issue from gun ownership. Government can fuck off as far as I'm concerned, but that doesn't mean I want to live in a society where any member of the public could potentially be carrying a deadly weapon. Once again, you're thinking in extremes. You have to draw the line somewhere. Allowing guns to exist within society is a terrible idea as their sole purpose is to harm/kill. Cars, on the other hand, have another purpose, which is transport. Think outside the box for a change, mate.
But you haven't mentioned accidental shootings, which wouldn't be an issue if there was nothing to shoot. Believe me, I've grown up in a country that frowns upon guns and I don't miss them, not one bit. Let go of the addiction, for the sake of humanity and all that is good.

Or maybe it's because it's one of the richest countries in the world where the standard of living is better than most. It will take time and understanding to eventually remove the majority of personal firearms from the population. But you have to remember the end goal. In the long term, removing these firearms will prompt a less dangerous, more peaceful world. It takes understanding and vision to look beyond these children's toys.

You're thinking in extremes, much like a drug addict that is having their supply threatened. The armed forces of your country, and the police armed response units, will of course be allowed to use firearms for defence ONLY! Also, there's the nuclear deterrent to consider, which has proven to be effective e.g. The United Kingdom.
First, you've painted a completely wrong picture of Great Britain. We had a spat of riots, yes, but these are rare, and guns would certainly not have helped the situation. Largely, the UK is a civilised, moral society that has found a way to live without guns. Crime is by no means "off the chain" and the majority of crime that we do have is nowhere near as violent as the United States.
Secondly, on of the reasons America has such a violent, unsafe society is because of the right to bear arms.

Tyranny cannot be prevented through weaponry, unless you imagine a full-scale, all-out face to face war. It is an unfortunate reality, harsh reality, that there are and will be plenty of people who would be willing to trade your freedoms for their privileges, especially when it comes to gun rights. Just like the current NFA weapons collection world went from being manifest symbols of freedom to symbols of wealth and "connections". The same mentality will eventually be attracted to that on most levels of gun ownership.
With all due respect, the problem I see personally is that when someone actually does fight back against the enforcement of gun laws, even with no other illegal activity, nobody backs them up. I'm a Brit and when there were riots in Birmingham a few months back I kept a dagger in the car for a couple of days when I had business there.
I think Britain has been lucky since WW2 in not needing guns for protection, but it's changed in recent years and we have a lot of organised crime from Europe now. Sex slavery and illegal immigrant slavery I guess. The police are changing to meet the changing crimes and look more aggressive. Generally they're OK though.
I would never trade liberty so the government or any man can offer me security/protection. Hell, I could go to the store right now and be involved in a fatal accident.

I speak from experience. Here in the UK I don't worry about whether someone is carrying a gun or not, and gun related crimes are as low as can be expected.
The only threat from our government, and yours, is the taking away of our freedom by using fear and intimidation (Patriot Act, SOCPA) and provoking other countries (e.g. the Middle East.)
Less guns = less death.

It stands to reason that the more guns within society, the greater the risk of gun crime. So to reduce crime, why not just ban firearms apart from those used for licensed hunting? First, you've painted a completely wrong picture of Great Britain. We had a spat of riots, yes, but these are rare, and guns would certainly not have helped the situation. Largely, the UK is a civilised, moral society that has found a way to live without guns. Crime is by no means "off the chain" and the majority of crime that we do have is nowhere near as violent as the United States.
Secondly, on of the reasons America has such a violent, unsafe society is because of the right to bear arms.

You have to draw the line somewhere, and the US's gun related death statistics should prompt any sane man to realise that people with guns kill. Tyranny cannot be prevented through weaponry, unless you imagine a full-scale, all-out face to face war. It is an unfortunate reality, harsh reality, that there are and will be plenty of people who would be willing to trade your freedoms for their privileges, especially when it comes to gun rights. Just like the current NFA weapons collection world went from being manifest symbols of freedom to symbols of wealth and "connections". The same mentality will eventually be attracted to that on most levels of gun ownership.

With all due respect, the problem I see personally is that when someone actually does fight back against the enforcement of gun laws, even with no other illegal activity, nobody backs them up. It is an issue that even goes unspoken in the modern "prepper" movement, totally unspoken about when someone becomes "ineligible" for gun ownership and there is very little open defiance like back when guys like Gordon Liddy were leadership types among 1980s and 1990s survivalists.

I think they will go after the ammunition companies and limit the supply first.
Then once they collapse the economy (to replace it with something they can control more)

I'm a Brit and when there were riots in Birmingham a few months back I kept a dagger in the car for a couple of days when I had business there.
I think Britain has been lucky since WW2 in not needing guns for protection, but it's changed in recent years and we have a lot of organised crime from Europe now. Sex slavery and illegal immigrant slavery I guess. The police are changing to meet the changing crimes and look more aggressive. Generally they're OK though.
