  • Just getting into Atomic Rooster, love the dancers on this!

  • This album is the goods. So much better than their later albums! Heavy... and strangely bitter.

  • Two of the best songs from the 70`s Tomorrow Night and Devils Answer, I had a girlfriend from that time who wore hot pants ...... those were the day`s.

  • The organist John Caan played on Arthur Browns fire...the drummer is Carl Palmer

  • @CoyotePoet The organist is Vincent Crane, the drummer is Paul Hammond and John (du) Cann (not Caan) is on guitar. Other than that you are entirely correct!

  • Quite agree with the earlier comment. The very early 70's were best. By 1976 TOTP was full of cheesy shit.

  • Great, great tune but if I'd been the producer I'd've been like "Less band, more audience!" Lady in the bronze dress next but one to the band - oh my God! Hot pants, happy days ;)

  • This totally rocks... if only I could play organ like that.

  • I love singing this song.

  • those times were the happiest days of my life never to come back ever again rip lads you made great songs that will live on

  • RIP a true legend!!!! never forgotten

  • RIP John Du Cann

  • You will rise again, see you. Rock forever

  • RIP John Du Cann ♥

  • RIP John Du Cann

  • these TOTP (1969-72) are so cool (why had it go shit looking by 1976 - like some light-entertainment programme by about 1974) - this is full of groovy people like some late 60s/early 70s London club

  • 1970/71 were two fantastic years for bands, chicks, groovey cloths and such a feel good factor.now is my tomorrow night.

  • so funny the drummer pretending to play

  • R.I.P Vince Crane; poor devil. Great song from a fantastic band from the greatest decade for music. The girls were naturally beautiful and the bands were naturally gifted and full of musicians that could really play. Not like today's assortment of faked-up "Artistes" and enhanced and botoxed monstrosities. Strange to think some of these girls will be grandmothers now.

  • what I see is healthy young women dancing. Not acting like strippers. squatting like they're taking a dump and bouncing their ass off the floor.

  • Great tune and hot chicks

  • Thumbs up for all coments about girls in this!

  • OH HAPPY DAYS! SEEING THOSE DANCERS ON TOTP WEARING HOTPANTS TAKES ME BACK TO THE DAYS OF RADIO LUXEMBOURG (WHERE I FIRST HEARD THIS GREAT SONG)WAS 17 AT THE TIME (LOVED WEARING HOT PANTS!)ITS A SHAME THAT THAT PAUL AND VINCENT ARE NO LONGER WITH US. BUT HAVE LEFT US WITH SOME GREAT MUSICAL MEMORIES

  • You know, this reminds me of VH1's Pop Up segment.... while I appreciate the information 'cuz I love this track, the bubbles ruin the mood of this, which is all about the song & how it relates to these hot 70's babes! Am I right?

  • thumbs up for 0:25

  • Ha- lip synching. This is the album track exactly. Not a live performance.

  • Wow. These guys are really good. I wonder why they didn't get more press.

  • very underated group

  • Hammond-drenched heavy prog with beautiful hippie girls dancing to it. I would like to live in this vid!

  • @gwangi64. Beautiful girls - Yes! Hippie girls - NO!!! There are no hippies in that video.

  • I love that comment about the big macs. That xracks me up! Those girls are certainly hot!!!!!

  • Everyone very thin in those days - no big macs or fries

  • i'm 26 years old...and i think this music and these girls are very very beautiful!, i am the only one??? :)

  • The 2nd girl to the right of the one with the white lacks on, I think she is wearing purple coolots or something like that, is a very expressive and sensitive dancer. She is really very cool to watch. I hope someone knows who this grandma is and gives her my message. She was certainly hot in her day!

  • The best years of my life come back to me. thanks for posting this!

  • video non troppo azzecchato ma cmq bella !!!!!

  • I absolutely love this vid! That is so cool to see all those girls dancing with regular clothes on instead of the stuff you see today. What is really cool is that they are dancing to heavy metal!

  • I remember seeing them at the BLACK SWAN in sheffield AMAZING,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Haahaha the dancers

  • You think them girls would freak out if Far East Movement's 'G6' blared out right after this song?? hehe.

  • @sirlordwhitman

    LIKE A G6

    LIKE A G6

  • erm, the clock is going back through bands like Kings of Leon , the Muse and others, saw atomic at worthing of all places (-:

  • Several of those chicks need a spankin'!!!

  • Best vid on the tube! Choice tunes some kind bud and gawd I love Hippie Chicks!

Thanks for posting these brings back some really, really great memories!

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Thank you!!

  • reminds me of slip kid by The Who

  • This was the day I was born.. feel really old

  • oh my god where did the years go....l might have danced with some of those young ladies who are now like me getting old...........listen young people enjoy life because age catches up with you and although the inside never grows old believe me the outside does sigh

  • @fighter138 that was... sad

    but in a good way

  • Great song. And the dancers were hot in that early 70s way.

  • One of my favourite songs - lovely 70ths!

  • 5++

  • GOD PLEASE HEAR MY PRAISE AND TAKE ME BACK TO THOSE GLORY DAYS OF HARD-ROCKING TOTP,WITH LOTS OF HIPPIE FREAKS AND PLENTY OF BEATIFUL SUPERPOWERFLOWERED GIRLS

  • hard to believe that today, all of those sexy girls are grand ma .

  • bunch of pretty girls there

  • @favorsham " De gustibus non disputandum",but have you ever heard for the full albums of Atomic Rooster? They were a legend of the so-called hard-prog music. This is the most (and only) commercial song they did.

  • Looks like good times, wish I could have been there!!!

  • Notice that there is no bass guitar player on stage. Vincent Crane played bass parts with his left hand and keyboard parts with his right hand like Ray Manzerek use to do in the doors. What a shame to lose Vincent on that fateful Valentines Day 1989. Thank you for posting this performance.

  • @offroad77

He also could have used bass pedals like John Paul Jones did. Your idea is possible too (and here visible), but impossible to play if there are complicated melodies.

The performance sounds not live - must be a tape. Cowbell is missing here (but heard).

  • @saemikneu

its 1970s top of the pops nearly everyone mimed

  • @saemikneu you can see the cowbell at 1.26 . I think it's attached to the right tom. it's black.

  • ha the week i was born ye could have must have been one of the first song i ever heard lol

  • Ah the flower of English womanhood c1971 grooving along to the mighty Rooster on TOTP. These days it'd be some crumby X Factor type singer and several of the girls would be fat.

  • so cool

  • Awesome babes!!

    Brings back good memories.

Sad thing is, like me, they're old now. :-)

  • why is there no fat girls

  • Err..exercise? - We got to run around a lot - and there wasn't the fried chicken shop/pizza/kebab option. Sadly, it seems when a parent or two want to get their children off to school on their own - it's a matter for the social services. God, we really ARE buggered.

  • I love this video. The song is great, the musicians are stellar, and the dancing ladies very lovely.

  • rip vince crane !!!!

  • @bondsee RIP Paul Hammond as well. Only John (Du) Cann is left. I love this band, though I don't think as highly of the Chris Farlowe stuff.

  • If a modern band covered this song today, they might have a hit on their hands. You can hear that both Crane and Emerson played on the same type of keyboard. But Crane's background was more in jazz and blues, and Emerson's was in classical.

  • i almost feel attracted to the babes on stage but im sort of picky considering that they didnt shave back then like the do now lol. My parents are part of that generation and they always tell me that hairy women was something that was actually pretty common back then...gross

  • @Jsoyce Sorry, we'll change our way of life just for you eh? IDIOT!

  • @Jsoyce i guess you are just too silly to mention,

    omg, they didn't shave:s

like they got hair inside their pussy's or something.

just go play with barbie, she is shaved.

  • @Jsoyce you don't know what real women are.

  • Education. Highly recommended. Try reading a book. or a newspaper - just something. It'll help.

  • Great song and the lovely girls dancing :-)

  • Wish I could turn the clock back. Happy days

  • great song ......

  • EPIC

  • enjoy it now kids, disco is lurking in the not too distant future.

  • Ja das war mal ein richtiger Disco hit.

  • hot pants,mini skirts,loons got the lot

  • yeah John Du Cann

  • Crane sounds here close to the sound of Jon Lord or ken Hensley

  • yay! Hot Pants!

  • Саме в цій пісні відчувається у Atomic Rooster концептуальне та стилістичне єднання з ELP, хіба що музон тут більш жорсткий.

  • 0:26 < strange dance

  • Haha I knew what you meant without even going back to check

  • this and devils answer were hits for the band, check these hot pants!! dynamite!! TOTP thursday magic

  • very nice song and video :-)

    best at 2:06

  • I LOVE this band! Ican listen to them everyday.

  • c'est vraiment super !

  • vincent did some excellent keyboard work on the crazy world of arthur brown album.

  • What kind of organ is Vincent Crane playing? Love that sound.

  • I think he's playing a hammond organ, Keith Emerson also played one as well as a load of other people.

  • hammond C3 with third percussion (volume tablet set on 'normal') and chorus C3

  • theres some honeys here

  • Hot mamas indeed!

  • @jennahazeispro all granmothers by now lol

  • @jennahazeispro those "honeys" are now all grandmothers! great stuff!

  • Wow check grandma! When are hot pants going to become fashionable again? This Rocks.

  • It's a pity they are miming to the record :( On "Devils Answer" they are definitely playing live.

  • 0:25 hahaha

  • Look at those girls. I was 21 when this came out-phew!!!!

  • AR were one of my favourite bands in the 70's. But what happened to their album "This Is Atomic Rooster"? I could never find any of their songs on the net. I'm talking about Time Take My Life, Don't Know What Went Wrong, People You Can't Trust, Close Your Eyes... I still have the LP, but none of these songs are present here.

  • Lots of Atomic R. on limewire Bro.

  • The Rooster doin the biz on TOTP!!!

  • I only listened to this one on Radio 2's pick-of-the-pops show last Sunday whilst driving home. It's probably the first time I've heard this one since it came out in 1971. I was just six years old then.

Great band, if only we still had them with us today.

  • Go it girl at 0.26. Wonder if any of these freaky lasses have seen this stuff 38 years on. Great song and performance btw.

  • Where's the bass player?

  • No bass player, just Vincent Crane's left hand. Saw them loads of times from '69 till about '72. absolutely brilliant. First time I saw them, they were on supporting Deep Purple and Fleetwood Mac. You won't get that for a quid now!
