I saw an interview with Dan Peek where he basically said right off the bat he just went all in for the drugs, booze, women, etc. and woke up one day and thought he needed some perspective. He already had made a small fortune. Gerry and Dewey were more level-headed, but they were all still friends and even helped Dan with his first Christian albums. Hopefully, they will reunite if even for a one-off tour.

Also its really Gerry preventing a reunion. Dan wrote somethings in his book that i'm sure he regrets. buy whats done is done hopefully they'll let bygones be bygones and reunite before its too late I'm sure the Beatles wished they had prior to Lennons untimely death you never know what tommorow brings.

104Bosco I totally agree they should reunite. I just attended my 53rd America show although they put on a great show its become so predictable even down to the banter in between songs. I feel a reunion with Dan would be refreshing and maybe even generate some new tunes. Also if the rock n roll hall of SHAME ever wakes up and inducts them into the h.o.f. it'd be interesting to see if Gerry would welcome Dan for the ceromoney. Doesn't he think he's got his shit together by now to rejoin America. I am a christian but don't sit around the house all day and read the bible. I keep god in my heart and in everything I do. I know some people that would love to see him back with the group.We need more christian's in pop groups because in christian music you are only reaching people that are already saved.
