This is an incredibly beautiful duet. Unfortunately the singers are very weak and too old to sing well. What a fabulous piece to do with real singers. The power of the music suffers with Legrand doing the singing.

I have never heard this masterpiece done with an orchestra like this. I am awestruck. Bravo LeGrand.

@PastaAndPavarotti i disagree legrand has always performed his peices perfectly (maybe because he wrote them) but i see your point in that a younger vocal aragment would bring more power look up legrand and nana's performance of i will wait for you (unfortunatly it is in english) it is legrand in the 70's about 5 or 6 years after the films relase

I LUV this singer Tereza? This song is wonderful in FRENCH as in ENGLISH..the tune is so beautifully sad...the lyrics by Jacques Demy are superb. I often feel the lyricists don't get enough publicity like the composer of songs..Thank you Michel LeGrand, Tereza, and Jacques Demy. Oh, by the way, Liz Minelli sings this song live in a YouTube video. Very different (without orchestration) but POWERFUL also. Done in 1972.

Ne znam na koja od dva sam sjedio, ali cak i Legrand je priznao da je pratnja bila ocajno usvirana. Doslovno nas je bola u usi, koliko su neujednaceno svirali. Gotovo diletantski. Terezina i Legradova dionica je bila korektna i tu nije bilo greske. Ali cak i na ovoj snimci detektiram i prepoznajem ocajnu usviranost orkestra. Jednostavno ili nisu imali vremena ili su ocajno pripremili, jer nikako nije bilo na razini. I nisam jedini koji tome mogao posvjedociti.
