I'm not from UK but if you have the English Nationality, yes you can. Same in France or Italy or Other Countries ;)

Unfortunately I don't think so. The only ways I can think of are you move to Britain long enough to gain citizenship (Or some other Commonwealth country that can join the British army)- unless you have an easier way of attaining citizenship (A British parent or something).

Either that, or you find some sort of exchange programme between the two.

I have thought about it, and yes I know america and england are allies but diffrent countries, each country has its own agendas. Some are the same and many are not, but this war on terror is all the same to the two countries with slight diffriences. But that is actually a very good question.

Not that it's unthinkable to fight for another country. Every year, foreigners join the French Foreign legion, where they risk their lives side by side with French legionnaires. But they are considered French, and honored, because they shed their blood for France. Same for French soldiers who joined the US army during your civil war.

The difference is, those who join the Foreign Legion are not joining out of any particular love for France, but rather love for the Legion itself and their comrades within the Legion.

no.. i'd say half of them join to get the french nationality. the legion is a 5 years contract, at the end of this contract, if you wish you get the nationality. being citizen of a country like France is something a lot of people would like to be.

the other half joining the legion is here because they know they will most certainly see actual combat action, and be sent all over the world.
