  • Archie Bunker made me think about what I'm gonna do about my diet in the future. Tomorrow, I think I'm gonna have me some steak, very rare.

  • i don,t care who says what, i like meat.

  • All in the Family rocks...

  • i guess Archie never read Genisis chapter 1 verses 29&30, and Genesis Chapter 9 verses 1-5. and isnt there some Leviticus that says eating shellfish is a sin?

  • @eatpigsnot Eating shellfish was a sin to Jews not for New Testament Christians.

    Anyway, just enjoy the clips.

  • @YhwhKhaiMostHigh i knew there was something - thx. i still quote Archie when people ask why i watch pro wrestling: Meathead "how can you watch that? they know who's going to win." Archie: "they might know... BUT I DONT!"

  • @eatpigsnot hahaha that's a good come back :)

  • He Was A Reat Great Actor, Rest In Peace

  • The Man is a God

  • Actually, I'm atheist, but the character "Archie" was correct about the Christian bibles (and yes, I intended that to be plural).

  • lol but the bible does say man can eat meat.

  • GOOD POINT ARCH !

  • I love it! All inn the family was a staple in my house growing up, MASH, Waltons etc but there was someone in the bible who offered up a "cabbage" vegetables as a sacrifice and that was Cain. The work of his own hands but GOD did not honor it and he got a little bit upset at his brother Abel. Something Cain forgot is the "you can't get blood from a turnip"............... Have a Nice Day

  • This was so win...... XD

  • Part 2. How do you think that Archie went from hating Lionel dating his niece to decking the guy who insulted the Hispanic housekeeper? Someone took a lot of time and effort to post these so we could all enjoy them. If they bother you so much, why don't you just stay off this link and let the rest of us enjoy them?

  • @horseangels You are fuckin awesome. Thank you!!

  • @frc1968 what eps did archie hit a guy?

  • @horseangels Thanks for the encouragement. I love All in the Family and try to post some of the funnier clips. Glad you are enjoying. Enjoyment was the purpose for me posting. Have an excellent day. :-)

  • @frc1968 You're welcome. Appreciate the time you took to post them. AITF was a "must see/can't miss" in my house during its run. Those that were smart enough to look behind the laughter learned a lot from Archie and the relationship he had with Mike, Gloria and, most of all, Edith. At the very least, we found out that somebody who may sound like a blustering idiot can be something totally different inside.

  • @horseangels Very true... funny, many people make the same comment about Archie Bunker as Howard Stern... that is, they do not look at him as a playing a 'character', laughing with him, not at him.

  • LMFAO!!!!

  • im the only vegetarian in my family and that i know and im proud of it!

  • whoever heard of sacrificing a head of lettuce.................LMFAO !!

  • @1MtnBoy ditto,.....nobody's as HILARIOUS as Archie is!!! xD

  • Man some of yall butt nuggets take what Archie says way too seriously

  • The writers of the sitcom was GENIUS!

  • As soon as they find out eating apples was wrong... LOL ... Who the hell ever heard of sacrificing a head of lettuce?.. LOL The 70's and 80's television shows. I sure miss Those were the days, Happy Days, I dream of Jeannie and many more healthy family home entertainment shows.

  • The most pathetic, loser comments I've ever read are on this clip. Come here for a laugh, not to philosophize!

  • @runly1 I totally agree with you. I posted these videos to make people laugh and it's shame there are those who use the platform to spew an agenda and/or hate. Please enjoy the clips in spite of the other comments and thanks for stopping by.

  • @frc1968 There is a lot of wisdom to be learned from the laughter and even from Archie. The person who sounds dumb may actually be smart in his/her own way (Edith). The person who seems cruel and bigoted could also be good-hearted, not really know it themselves or too embarrassed to admit it(Archie). The best medicine to give to somebody acting foolish is to laugh (Archie with Sammy Davis). Thanks for the clips and keep posting. Some of us do get it.

  • @horseangels

Archie is dumb because he's a STRAWMAN for opposing liberal views, by making intentionally stupid versions of conservative talking-points and basic liberties-- like eating meat and the right to bear arms, which would always turn epic fail by deus ex machina.

This is just basic condescending mockery of those the writers don't agree with, while meat-head is his token opposition who is conveniently always right.

  • @SovereignStatesman Please don't make mountains out of molehills. Normal Lear's idea of showing people, by way of comedy, just how dumb old prejudices were, was nothing short of brilliant. It was a simple concept for a simple idea - and as loveable as Archie was in some ways, as kind as he could be in some ways, and despite how much he actually loved Mike (goo luck getting him to admit it) Archie was intolerably ignorant and we learned not to be by laughter.

  • Comment removed

  • @SovereignStatesman Part 1. Removing your last comment was a nice try but just a wee bit too predictable. And calling someone ignorant who will not not agree with you is quite childish. I am college educated and have no problem whatsoever deviphering history. As for mountains and molehills, it wasn't the top-rated TV show who was guilty of that, it was you. Laugh at stupidity and the perpetrator will learn there really is no place for the stupidityl.

  • @horseangels

"Removing your last comment was a nice try but just a wee bit too predictable."

Piss off you stupid moron, I was correcting a typo; you might want to look into that, ala "deviphering" ROTLFMAO

    "I am college educated"

Then go demand your money back since you still don't know a strawman when you see it.

    >>And calling someone ignorant who will not not agree with you is quite childish.

Exactly my point, just like you call Archie ignorant because you disagree with HIS points--dummy!

  • @horseangels

Thanks for your opinion, have a nice day!

  • @frc1968

Oh yeah, Archie was NEVER a liberal soap-box strawman designed to make American conservative views look stupid.

  • @SovereignStatesman You are so correct. American conservatives need absolutely no help in looking stupid, ignorant, and totally out of touch with reality. Thank you for your commentary because you made me laugh. Please feel free to continue because I could definitely use another laugh. :-)

  • @frc1968 thats funny u say that....considering the last 100 yrs the country was run by "Progressives"

  • @SovereignStatesman Whoever said American Conservatives needed help looking stupid? You sound like a professional in the subject.

  • @champton321

Well then liberals are obviously even stupider Norman Leech needs to stack the deck.

  • Comment removed

  • And once again, you prove your ignorance. Before saying one group is "stupider" than another, please make sure to use proper grammar, otherwise you end up looking like a tool.

Only adjectives with one syllable use the "er" postfix in proper grammar. The ONLY time when an adjective with two or more syllables would use "er" would be when the word ends in "y." Then the "y" changes to an "i." The proper grammatical expression is "The liberals are obviously even more stupid."

  • @champton321

You ARE a tool... as well as a tool-BOX.

    stu·pid [stoo-pid, styoo‐] adjective, -er, -est,

    adjective

    1. lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull.

    2. characterized by or proceeding from mental dullness; foolish; senseless: "a stupid question."

    3. tediously dull, especially due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless: "a stupid party."

    4. annoying or irritating; troublesome: "Turn off that stupid radio."

    5. [your picture ]

  • @SovereignStatesman Oh, I see I'm dealing with a real genius here. *snicker*

Look in your basic English book. You'll find a little tidbit of information that goes something like this:

The rules for making superlative adjectives are: One syllable words - add “est” to the word. Remember that it is sometimes necessary to double the final consonant. Examples are: strong to strongest and big to biggest. One syllable words ending with an “e” - only add “st” like fine to finest

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • or rare to rarest. Two syllable words ending with a “y” - change the “y” to an “i” and add “est.” Two examples are crazy to craziest and silly to silliest. Two and three syllable words - use "more", “most”, "less" or “least.” Examples include most desirable and least expensive.

Research "superlative adjectives" and come back. Since "stupid" is a two-syllable word that does not end in "y", you would need to add "more" to form the superlative.

  • this guy is amazing!!!!

  • I hate this show, and I always did! Archie is fat and ugly and his talk on meat is just as ugly. I hated this show even before I became veg.

  • @JESSESEIBEL Ok...you see this show works on a level that's probably beyond your comprehension. You sound like a shallow idiot, the humor actually has some depth...go watch 2 1/2 men.

  • @blackrainuponus Actually I watch this with my Grandmother to make her feel better when she isn't lonely. I never watch TV at all. I understand this damn show (wtf is 2 and a half men?) but the stupidity of this show is so overboard I can't stand it. A show MORE intelligent than this is Psyched and I only watched that a few times and the humor has more dept and require you to use your noggin for a change unlike this Americanized garbage!

  • alot of comments re: this clip are about people being carnivores, or not. we arent. c/o Gary Yourofsky Best Speech You Will Ever Hear on youtube. if you dont have time for the whole thing i suggest you make time. but if not, go to 26min mark, and watch about 4mins. that clearly describes how and why people arent carnivores. many people eat meat, but that doesnt make them carnivores. also saw comments saying eating meat cant make you sick. wrong, it absolutely can make people very

    ill

  • archie right as usuall vegans are just here to cause a pain everyones ass

  • why dont all of you trolls here on a comedy clip go build an ark that should keep you busy for a while

  • @eaglemike1515 I love it!!!!! LMFAO!!!!! Thanks for saying it!!! :-)

  • @frc1968 np man i hate idiots that ruin a fun video

  • I get a kick out of the fact that this intentionally humorous TV show has more wisdom in it than all of the people who believe that their understanding of faith and religion is somehow truer than anyone else's.

What an awesome show this was!

  • @meepshizzleyams Thank you for sharing. I so totally agree with what you state. :-)

  • Funny. Archie Bunker in drips is okay. Things are different from today and the 70s.

  • @Greenvegan828

Not so much. The demographic in Queens has changed, so they'd probably have to put Archie in the Midwest where you can still find plenty of white working class philistines. They don't make hippies exactly like Meathead anymore, but substitute a modern environmentalist and change the clothes a bit and add a piercing or three, and the basics of the character would still work.

  • Mike is a Meathead!

  • "Who the H*ll ever heard of sacrificing a head of lettuce?"

    :-D...

  • Why else do we have sharp teeth in the rear of our teeths.

  • I had no idea being a vegetarian was unbiblical. lol.

  • I love Archie, but he should have mentioned that we have canine teeth and the eyes of hunters, i.e., two eyes that face forward. You grazers feel free to eat rabbit food, I prefer the rabbit.

    Mmmm, hossenfeffer.

  • @RantNationDotCom So you're a slave to our genes? We have eyes of hunters but for some reason, lack the claws and speed. Fucking moron. Yeah, I eat rabbit food because that's the only thing other than meat, on the food pyramid. If you're gonna attack people for who they are, try like looking like an ignorant douchebag.

  • @clipsryan So, who's attacking people for who they are? I attacked no one, but I'm an ignorant douchebag for it. The worst I did was call you and others like you grazers, which you have admitted to. Apparently it defines you as a person, otherwise you would have laughed at my comment and moved on but you didn't. We compensate for lacking in claws and speed with brains, try it sometime. Monkeys do it. I read you profile and this country belongs to those who will fight for it, period. Peace.

  • @RantNationDotCom Who they are? No, what they do and stand for. BIG fucking difference, dude. First, your grazer remark wasn't really funny nor implied as a joke. Second, brains have been used to protect animals aswell as destroy millions of lives so that point is subjective when you claim our more complex brains give us the excuse to slaughter millions of animals. Many fight for drugs and power over the weak, doesn't make fighting over stolen land anymore right.

  • @clipsryan Your rambling bores me. I'm gonna go eat a big juicy (read: BLOODY) steak from my neighbor who named his bull before he shot it. (Yes, with a real gun.) His name was Bucky, and he sure is tasty. I will also be sure to eat more meat in the future, and it's all thanks to you, Ryan. Go ahead and wish that the steak would make me sick, see what that gets ya. Yer' obviously a leftie, so wishing things were like you wanted instead of how they actually are is what your best at.

  • Something that cheeses me off about militant anti-omnivores is that they don't seem to acknowledge the fact that animals devour each other. Or they're okay with that but not okay with us eating animal meat. It's true that animals should be killed in a clean manner. In fact, when animals were sacrificed, it had to be done properly (quick and without suffering) or it would be considered an offense to God. Hunting is clean and proper. Storebought meat comes from animals that were tortured.

  • @IggyHazard Other animals don't have the brain power to understand that we can get protein from plants. Lots of meat eaters probably justify cannibalism if it boiled down to that. Yes an offense to the god who created an eternal punishment of torture. Right. I applaud that you think animals should be killed in a clean and painless manner but we seem to forget that we don't have to be ruled by instinct like other species.

  • @clipsryan I never suggested that we should be ruled by instinct. That's what liberals believe.

  • @IggyHazard Liberalisim has nothing to do with instinct.

  • @IggyHazard Yes, just blame the liberals on everything as if conservatives aren't the most controlling (selfishly) pieces of shit walking. When a liberal gives advice, it's for the betterment of all. When a conservative gives advice, it's for their personal betterment and usually behind a loaded gun and a bible.

  • @clipsryan Both factions, for the most part, are weak-ass sacks of shit that glorify weakness. The pundits on BOTH sides are mostly made up of profligate whores, pedantic pencilniks, and geriatric "suits" with turkeynecks. Hail Nationalism! Hail Exterminance! H.A.T.E. sets us free!

  • @IggyHazard Liberals and democrats are internationalist-collectivists. They always come out with: do this, don't do that that, give charity and must sacrifice yourself for the betterment of all and for the greater good.

But IRL they don't respect the individual rigths and liberties. An individualist are not selfish, they believe voluntary good actions, whereas the collectivists force you to do their bidding (even if they are good deeds) thru laws and coercion. You have no right to dissent.

  • @Xerxes1688 Correct! Altruism is anti-human. Altruism is the root of totalitarianism. Archie is a true working-class hero!

  • @IggyHazard Altruists have a Robin-Hood syndrome, they always want to solve other people's problems, but rarely attack the root of the problems, they rather blame other people, and force them to help the damnified, they also like to blame and attack inert objects instead of some people's own irresposability or wrong acts, and therefore force a ban on a determined object thru a law, while in the process alienating those that are resposable and never faulted.

  • @Xerxes1688 The real Robin Hood was not like the left-wing mythical version. Robin Longstride was more like a true Nationalist, fighting for the sovereignty of his nation and his people. In today's parlance, he could be defined as a "right-wing anarchist." He never actually "stole" anything. What he was actually doing was reclaiming the peoples' property from the government that had confiscated it (and oppressed them with taxes). He was actually a lot like Ragnar Danneskjold.

  • @IggyHazard Depends on your opinion of weakness. Some find anything caring and passive as being weak though I find that being smart and moral. Yes, both sides have their problems though you gotta admit that one side causes way more problems.

  • @clipsryan Collectivism = weakness.

  • @IggyHazard Generalizing bullshit. Being a loner to look strong is pathetic.

  • @clipsryan Some people find freedom in solitude. It's not about "looking strong." It's about being free. Freedom is generally associated with strength, so it only makes sense that an individual who seeks freedom would also want to be strong. After all, who willfully chooses weakness? That just doesn't make sense. It's a violation of positive nature...and at the same time is inherent to human nature (one of the conundrums of human existence). Strength and weakness are a matter of will.

  • STOP TALKING ABOUT RELIGION AND JUST LAUGH AT THE DAMN VIDEO YOU BUNCH OF NUISANCES!

  • I sacrifice a head of lettuce every year to my God the Cucumber.

  • Bigots are funny !

  • OMG is there not anywhere on youtube anymore where people don't find an excuse to pick a fight about religion???? It is just a funny clip from All in the Family, just laugh and stop taking everything so seriously!

  • @bdj010 amen!

  • @bdj010 That has got to be the most intelligent comment I have ever read on YouTube.

  • all of you are missing the true point of this video. and that is ignorace is bliss. i watched all in the family for many many years even after it got cancelled. the show was a fucking work of art.

  • Atheism is a non-phrophet organazation.

  • This show was brilliant.

  • @upvolleyball

I was wondering what happened to arthur's comments, but do you actually have the right to take off people who you don't agree with? That doesn't seem right?

  • @seanvikeen People can disagree without being disagreeable. I'm simply not going to tolerate personal attacks. If you want to make a valid point in a debate that's fine but you should do so respectfully. Attempting to put others down only makes your point less valid.

  • @frc1968

All I read was religious views... I didn't find it offensive....

why is that offensive to you?

  • @seanvikeen Stating religious views is one thing but then turning around and calling names and insulting people in not acceptable. I may be an Agnostic but I believe that people should be civil to one another. Too many people who espouse Christian values seem to have lost sight of that these days. Lastly, All in the Family is one of my favorite shows of all time. I remember it as a kid when it was actually on TV. I have posted several snippets for people to enjoy and have a laugh.

  • @seanvikeen Also, for someone to post this about me who doesn't even know me is what i find offensive and over the top, "i think this dude has no ball sack, and takes down anyone who says so." Not to mention the 16 thumbs up the comment has gotten proves my point that people do not know how to be civil.

  • @frc1968

I read all the comments dude... including the one where you told the guy to not speak about religion... that is not civil. Time to ban me because I think you are a liar.

  • @seanvikeen I simply asked that people not proselytize. I at no time said people could not discuss religious views. I'm sorry if you cannot tell the difference between the two and that seems to be another problem with some Christians today. As for me being a liar that is your opinion and not fact. It seems you would rather be confrontational & insulting because you disagree with my position. I'm from the USA and strongly believe in freedom of speech but also believe people should be respectful.

  • @frc1968

where are you from that doesn't believe in free speech anyway? Iran? Saudi Arabia?

    FAIL

  • @seanvikeen I have tried to be civil and respectful in my discussions with you but the only "FAIL" here is your refusal to understand what I'm saying.

  • @frc1968

than restore all the comments and earn my respect... and thanks for not censoring me!

  • what the hell happened to KINGARTHURUP'S COMMENTS?

  • @seanvikeen

i think this dude has no ball sack, and takes down anyone who says so.

  • @upvolleyball No. I think this dude isn't going to allow proselytizing and insults. Please feel free to have a respectful conversation or do not post here. Thank you.

  • @kingarthurup Okay Okay, Lets talk about this in a rational matter. If there is a God, then why is the world such a horrible place? Why are the criminals allowed to walk the earth, while the good are dying young (many cases murdered by the evil doers)? If I was God, I'd wipe out all the scum and allow civilization to continue.

  • @ejr23

I am with you, but we aren't God.

the answer is : Free Will

we are allowed to do what we feel and believe is best, and in the end will be judged for this existence.

  • What's that suppose to mean,kingarthurup.

  • What does Archie mean by "Who the hell ever heard of sacrificing a head of lettuce?"?

  • @hallpriest9 He means he believes people back in Biblical times only sacrificed meats not vegetables.

  • Religion is bullshit! -- George Carlin

  • @ejr23 Whether or not you have a faith, intolerance makes your statements bullshit.

    -Politically Correct Thinking

  • @ejr23

"George Carlin is Dead" - God

  • I will now go sacrifice a head of lettuce in thew name of Archie!

  • I hate to say this, but I think Archie was right on this one.

  • Actually Archie's right about the meat part. Not about the bible part.Because vegetarianism isn't part in our DNA.

  • @98bigbutt Scientifically speaking, out teeth show we are meant to be omnivores. Strictly vegetarian animals only have crushing teeth, carnivores only have cutting and ripping teeth. We have both!

  • @TuberOnTheLoose

    yes, we have both!

I pick a nice big juicy piece of steak with a salad on the side!

  • I'm a vegetarian, and I think this is sooo funny. I miss this show.

  • @Necrolitica Season 7 is due out in October 2010. I've already got my pre-order placed on Amazon. :-)

  • the bible is bullshit... use your brain... quit letting others think for you

  • @poopsebeb

You assume and hope its bullshit.

  • @Minionuup There is no empirical evidence to prove biblical stories. They are myths in the same style as those of other ancient cultures' religions like the Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians.

  • @frc1968 Wow. That was a remarkably bigoted statement... Do you think the Holocaust was a good idea since the goal was to get rid of the Jewish "religion" that the Nazi's believed to be a myth?

  • @rdamurphy Wow is right but only in your incredible ignorance. I wasn't talking about the Nazis and what they believed. I was talking about what I believe to be true about biblical stories and I'm not going to respond further to your very irrelevant question or should I say baseless charge. If you want to have an intelligent conversation that's fine but I'm not going into the gutter with you on the Nazi thing.

  • @frc1968

there ya go atheist aren't you?... took me awhile to figure out what your religion was....

    sad... ban me now please!

  • @frc1968

"atheism is a religion" Sean Vikeen

  • @seanvikeen

    Atheism is not a religion.

Atheism is a Lack of religion.

  • @PastorIblis

Not according to the supreme court and the Oxford definition of religion.

It is clear that the only thing that we will agree on is that you are a libtarded butt cheese.

"aethiesm is a religion" Sean Vikeen

  • @seanvikeen

Aethiesm may be a religion but it is one I have never heard of. LMFAO!!! (The damn word was spelled in what you responded to! Moron)

ATHEISM is not a religion and I will explain why.

Religion is defined by Websters as:

    1. The service and worship of God or the supernatural

    2. A personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices

    3. A cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith

None of which apply to Atheism

  • @Pussblister

    You are a butt cheese.

Did you even look up the definition... when you read one phrase and ignore the additional definitions this is disingenuous. You must read all of them butt cheese. ... not just the ones that fit your idiotic argument....LOL

Check out the 1961 case of Torcaso v. Watkins and than if you have purchased more brains, check out Kaufman v. McCaughtry (2005)....LOL

You obviously aren't an American if you don't follow the law!

    AETHEEISM IS A RELIGION !!!

and until you get the law changed BUTT CHEESE

AEITHISM WILL REMAIN A RELIGION IN THE GOOD OLD UNITED STATES!...

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

  • @Platypus

Actually, the 7th circuit has declared atheism a religion in the United States. I am with you though, I think that it is a place for those without imagination or intelligence to run and hide. Although Sean Viking has good points that atheism is totally based on the faith in common ancestory which hasn't been proven and is a mainstay of evolution.

ps Did you read the court cases that Sean Viking listed? They prove that atheism is a religion by law in the USA. What don't you get?

  • @PastorIblis

    LOL... your definition below:

    3. A cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith

wow... you sure have proven that apyism is not a religion you butt cheese!!!....LOL

(did you find the ape that is your grandpa yet?... or are you counting on Richard Dawkins to end his run on Family Feud to help you?)

    ROTFL

WHAT A BUTT CHEESE DOUCHE BAG YOU ARE!

    LOL

  • @PastorIblis

I know few Jehovah witnesses that are as passionate about their faith as you are butt cheese!

    WELL DONE!

  • @seanvikeen

Actually, I think it is a bit sad that ignoramus' are out there like this one. It is sad for her and sad for her friends also.

Perhaps someday she will find love and faith and God.

Until then, I can only speak in facts and hope that she gets it.

  • @tonycolbert2

I don't think that it is a woman... probably just a frustrated homosexual. Doesn't Pusterpuss sound like a dude?

    LOL

  • @seanvikeen

Not necessarily. I believe that she is a woman by her response and the passion that she has for her religion.

I admire that. Everybody needs something to put their faith in even if it is in the belief that they were once monkeys.

    God bless her!

  • @PastorIblis

Actually, the court does have the power to make atheism a religion, and it has in the United States. It also has the power to make murder illegal, and to make you pay taxes. What don't you get?

Atheism is not based on fact, but on faith. Unless of course your particular religious take on atheism usurps evolution. If not, please let me know when you receive the Nobel for your discovery of the lost common anscestor.

    That will be wonderful!

  • @tonycolbert2 Question how is atheism based on faith when they don't have faith in gods or believe in the concept of gods? How does that work exactly?
