  • lol you are va tech, and you got owned.

  • when the freedom of speech is taken away, violence often occurs.

  • She says "We don't deserve death" hum... Yes we do death, before you respond. Let me say what is death, this is hell a place where the wicked goes that has tuned away from God. We have all violated God's law of Righteousness (the law of moses). God see's your heart. And He makes it very clear He will judge you. Since He (Jesus Christ) paid our fine for us we need to trust our life in His hands.

  • The True Import Of Present Dialogue, Black vs. Negro (For Peppe, Who Will Ultimately Judge Our Efforts) by Nikki Giovanni Nigger Can you kill Can you kill Can a nigger kill Can a nigger kill a honkie Can a nigger kill the Man Can you kill nigger Huh? nigger can you .....
  • ...precious. True shades of William Shakespeare w/ just a hint of N. Machiavelli. And you're...41 yrs old...are you?

    -intriguing.

  • Fayme, you 21-year-old twit, what are you trying to say?

The above post of mine, to which you are apparently attempting to respond, is the very beginning of a "poem" written and published by Nikki Giovanni. Your IQ is apparently lower than Nikki's. How's that career going? Are you making it through community college, thanks to affirmative action? Good luck with that.

  • I was trying to say that as a 41 year old "adult", you should be doing something better w/ your time instead of posting horrible comments about this woman for doing nothing but trying to uplift all those affected by the V-tech tragedy. I may be only 21 years old-but at least I'm smart enough to understand the importance of decency & morality.

  • Am I making it through Community College "thanks to affirmative action???" LoL you SLAY me my old, bitter, and bigoted friend. But seriously, to answer your question: I'm getting by in College just fine w/o any aid. Plus, I'm sure you'd be happy to know, that I TO am interested in pursuing a career in the literary field :D Wish me luck?

    ~lol

  • You should give up your literary aspirations. McDonald's needs team leaders. There is a great career for you in fast food.

  • ~LoL. Niiice. But no, I'd rather do what you do now, steveonkey. Screw writing and my dreams of flipping burgers; from here on out I want to have a career as promising and as upscale as that of steveonkey's. That's Fayme's new goal.

  • That's funny. Your Fayme20 name links to your myspace page. If you think you can make it through college, graduate school, and law school, as I did, and go to some of the best schools in the country in three different fields, then have a successful career in two different areas by the time you are 41, then go for it. But here and on your myspace page, you appear to be a complete twit. Unless your stupidity is a pretense, you should pin your hopes on the next life.

  • I [can] make it through college, graduate school, & through law school. That is, if I truly had the passion to do so; but to be honest with you--that's not my goal. Theatre & Music is really my thing. So kudos on your success, man. & truthfully speaking, I'm happy for you & I wish you much more success in the near future;

  • ...but I have to tell you: I'm far from being stupid and I'm nowhere near a 'twit'; but if looking at a pic on myspace can give you that assumption of me, then hey, so be it. But even still, I'll be much more mature and refrain from calling you any names. God Bless.

    Fayme~

  • I'd give this a B- if this were in Modern Poetry 101 for freshman. I am assuming the assignment was to try to imitate the poetry of William Carlos Williams.

  • Relax steveonkey, you'll live longer...

  • ~amen marsio. lol I'm glad somebody said it

  • "We know we did nothing to deserve this," says Hokey Jokey. "BUT... [insert stupid political metaphors regarding the suffering of children, of both the human and elephant species, including a reference to "rogue armies" but mispronounced "roog"]. Hokey Jokey's rant was disrespectful. The victims deserve better than this narcissistic self-promoting "poet" who struts her stuff when she should instead be humble, if not contrite, given her rejection of the killer before his spree.

  • You obviously have no idea who Nikki Giovanni is and how her brilliant language can create such written beauty. Read her poetry before you trash it. the world is not a pleasant place to be without someone to hold and be held by a river would stop its flow if only a stream were there to receive it an ocean would never laugh if clouds weren't there to kiss her tears the world is not a pleasant place to be without someone
  • To Steve---you just don't get it and, unfortunately, you probably never will get it. This woman's speech lifted the spirits of the entire Virginia Tech community. I applaud Nikki Giovanni for her courage, wisdom and leadership. I couldn't care less about her dress style or her hair color. God Bless the Hokies of VT.

  • It's nice to see that Dennis Rodman had another career option. Even if he sucked at basketball, he could have become an English professor, written horrible poetry for which he would have received undeserved praise, and then done the Hokey Jokey on national television. And his IQ is probably higher than that of this Hokey Jokey. Also, his hair coloring job looked better than Professor Nikki's.

  • This Hokie performed a Hokey Jokey. I would have preferred to see her do the Hokey Pokey. This is just one very bad poet, who was one of the last in a series of people to reject Cho, by kicking him out of her class, responding to another bad poet's murderous rampage.

  • God bless

  • simply amazing....

  • Great speech - go Virginia Tech!

  • An amazing speech! These words will forever be with me.

  • "We are better than we think - and not quite what we want to be" Brilliant. We love you Virginia Tech family.

  • Go Hokies!

  • i really liked her speech..

  • My heart, my compassion, and my love go out to the entire Virginia Tech community. As professor Giovanni said, no one deseves a tragedy, but I have faith in God that you will indeed prevail, and carry the memories of those who passed away with the greatness that unites your school.

  • wow

  • amen
