Absolute TRP crap! The distance for the Jyothi to be visible from the spot to the pilgrims is more than several hundred feet for sure. The plot of Suckeeran is lost when he says an aluminium vessel is covered on top of the flame. For the flame to be visible over so many meters of distance, it has to be pretty strong and huge. From where do you get Aluminium pots so big and where the fuck is a smoke coming out if it's a man lit fire? Dumbass.

Devotees could watch this only from distances. I do not see any wrong in this system because it is purely a part of makarasankrama pooja. Just like the lighting of camphor in holy mountains of Thiruvannamalai. Devotees are also seen in good numberes in thiruvannamalai also. Nobody complains that too. Then why only about Sabarimala. This is purely comes out of human jealousy. Because Sabarimala attracts so many devotees every year. Some people simply wants to reduce that number. Thats all...OK.?

Hi, Sir... No body in Kerala claims that Makara Jyothi is a devine light. But in fact we believe its the lighting of camphor at the ponnambalamedu (the sreemoola shthanam of lord ayyappa at sabarimala) during makarasankramam. This was done by aadivasi's before and now a days Travancore devaswam board do this. This is only a part of makara sankrama pooja. Then why it is lighten in such magnitude is simple. Poonamabalamedu cannot accommodate so many millions of people and is full of wild elephants
