@Damrod05 hey buddy if you want a good hammond sound for m50/m3 search "ksounds organimation" real samples, all drawbars controlled by combi mode and percussion 2nd and 3rd but its $50 US but its 1000x better then korgs presets
@IMaiden89 Just thinking of buying a keyboard in general once my Casio breaks down. Korg M50 is one of my foremost choices but it's organs leave much to be desired imo, so i was kinda put off at first.
@Damrod05 well the keys are horrid for glissando's and it does not have sliders only, four knobs also no ribbon controller either so the m3 is a far better choice, now with the b3 samples, because i don't have sliders i can only turn each drawbar on or off in combi mode so that takes a lot of the fun out of it. Or alternatively hammond makes a stage keyboard called the SK1 with real drawbars, piano and synth sounds
@globitoo I'm not if I understand what you want to ask. You want to know which combi I use on the second performance, of progressive rock. If so, if I remember correctly, it should be combi #7 (I'm sure it is from the first few combis)
Could you please make a video with the rock / jazz / gospel organs, just a chord on different octaves, Leslie slow and then fast and then slow again, and without using the Pitch wheel?
Sorry, I dont have the M50 in my setup right now, but I do think this video give a good example of the organs sounds on the M50. I would NEVER use the organs sounds on a recording, for that I use (and recomend) Native Instrument's B4II or if you can afford one of the Hammonds or the Roland VK8, but they are "kind of OK" for live use in a band situation. The joystick controls the leslie ON/OFF. The Organs on the M50 are better than those on the Roland Fantom or Yamaha Motif, but still...
The ones I used in this vid are from the COMBI presets... in Program Mode, in the Program mode, just go to the cathegory select screen and on the top right there is the ORGAN sounds
@FrenchBeatz Tell KORG about it :) Ive received over 100 messages of people thanking me on helping them choose the M50, Im happy the videos worked... sadly I just did it to help, for fun, exposure, and boredom!! :)
Nice demos. I'm trying to decide between a Korg M50 and Nord Electro 2. I have played both at GC. My only reservation about the M50 is the keys. They felt a bit flimsy, and the low D key was stuck down on the unit I played. What do you think about the quality of the keys? I prefer synth action, or the Nord action to weighted keys due to tendonitis issues. Thanks.
the NORD is WAY better on Keys, and ORGAN/Electric PIano Sound... but with the M50 you have lot more sounds... it depends what u need... they are both VERY DIFFERENT keyboards
@WinterWineStudio you're right, no one should compare nord and korg..nord is for people who need the best and don't need arrangement and workstation functions, and korg is for programming and getting the best of it..
Thanks. I dont have the keyboard with me right now but there a lot of organ sounds, I would say like 40 patches, from Hammond, Vox and a couple of Pipe Organs. There are also some synth-organs... when I'm home I'll count them and let you know... you can also download more Vintage Sounds from the Korg website, I'm sure it has more Organs
Yes, that's excatly what I meant. When recording I connect my instrument directly to my computer via a cable that has two jacks and two cinchs. Using MS Moviemaker I have the possibility to change the audiosource from mic to my frontline-In, where my instrument is connected to.
do you say it Bcuz' of the Audio delay from the Video?.. If its that, well I really dont know how to record a video using the audio thats going IN to my interface (for good quality) and have it sync oerfectly with the video :(
hey man, i wanted to ask, is there a drawbar organ function on the korg?

@IMaiden89 The Roland VR-700 V-Combo is also a good choice if you need great organ, A. and E. Pianos + synths and variety sounds!

I can't demo an M50 prior to purchase.
Thanks!

Use some video editor to sync the sound to audio.

I'm using Quick Time Pro... any recomendations?
WinterWineStudio 2 years ago
Windows Movie Maker is enough for simple syncing issues. And you get it with Windows.
dragonsagoth666 2 years ago
Well Im on a Mac... :(
WinterWineStudio 2 years ago
Then you have Apple iMovie, you must be able to move video in relation to audio on that one.
dragonsagoth666 2 years ago
well thats the weird part, I have done that, including in Logic too, and I sync it correctly, but after I upload it here, it comes out out-of sync
WinterWineStudio 2 years ago
Then it's in output format, I guess... There are some codecs that don't work well with youtube... I think it's described in FAQ section.
