One thing tho , in ur video description you state that the new Zis 53 85mm gun of the T34/85 was equal to the 88mm guns that equipped the german tanks. It was no such thing , wasnt even close to the performance of the 88mm L56 of the Tiger , or even the 75mm L70 of the Panther . Was more equal to the 75mm L48 of the Panzer 4 Ausf H .

It in fact was. It's 75mm gun could puncture any german tank's armor, while it's own armor could stand against even 88mm rounds. It was the first tank with slanted frontal armor, able to deflect enemy tank shells.

superb workmanship! I heard that the tank was roughly finished because it was needed quickly at the front so you have reproduced that kind of welding nicely. I believe the track design was by an American who tried to interest our army but the War Dept was not interested so he shopped it in Europe and the simplicity and audacity of the design was adopted. Great vid to show scenes of the battles. :)

indeed, there were hard times during 1941-42

at stalingrad i saw fotage that one T34\76 drove from the factory and even not had a turret!, the enemy was very close, so they have thrown everything on them..

yes, tanks not even painted. it was just good that factories were hurriedly moved east of the Urals. Easy to speak of these wars but one must live them to really understand. Our civil war general, Sherman, said war was hell.
