You already noted the reason why they only used red-black-and white. The lack of other colors made it stand out and drew your attention to it, thus supposedly promoting sales.
Also, animation is a drawing, however work done in TV shows is often done by different artists thus stuff that looks good on TV looks bad on an item (IE:backpack/book/cup...) or the other way around.
The reason they don't show the diaper itself is probably to avoid negative emotion, however store diapers are horrible. =P

I watched your whole video it was nice. You wanted to know if anyone tried a warhead.
I have they are really sour but then they get sweet I watch family guy american dad robot chicken. family guy is my favorite tv show.
