This is a BS video because my 22 rifle is so old with iron sights, it doesn't have any screws to mount a scope, and there sure as heck ain't going to be some rifle specific little tabby mounts for it. So I need instructions for a more universal kit that will fit anything even if it doesn't have screw holes.
The way they explain it makes it sound more difficult when really, it isnt. All the extra stuff is just if youre gonna keep it on for a while. I happen to swith my scopes often for whatever it is im doing.
OK LISTEN. my scope when sitting perfectly level (turrets wise) sits perfectly in line with my barrel, but when i look in the crosshairs, its slanted right downward slightly. someone help?
@hackamore no i alligned the turrets up perfect with the barrel and double check to make sure im not but still does it. the inside of the scope is messed up i think.
ok so i have a good scope, or at least i thought it was. it is level based on the turrets but the cross hairs are way tilted. hence "i thought it was a good scope". should i try to level the cross hairs? AND, how would i do that? my guess would be level the gun, place a carpenters level in distance and use the straight edge of level to straighten out the cross hairs? that sound perty good to anyone?
A very good video on how to properly mount a scope for maximum accuracy and shot to shot stability before going to the range. the extra effort is in alignment and scope stability pays off in ease of final sighting. For those who give so many negative comments, you realize this is a youtube video describing how to maximize the mounting portion of your optics. Creators of this video realize you can buy a presighted rifle or throw on a scope on any rifle without doing any of the above procedures.
Basic kit runs about 100$ at midway. Its hard to beat that wrench on the price point... especially considering its range of torque. If you've invested over a 1k on your optics and over 1k on your rifle things like this are nice. Might not appeal to a novice who isn't obsessed with accuracy or proper instal.

They spent more on the Tipton products to mount the scope than the scope and mounts...

very nice video, we could do better. But for airsoft, ill stay with a simple scope mouting. Because those little plastic bbs dont go over 400m.

@Davmm96 I would be shocked to see one fly 100 yards

@Davmm96 I would pay you money to see a level bb gun shoot near 100yards.

Thanks for the vid, $115.00 for the kit seems like a good investment.

I just noticed
There is something therapeutic of a torque wrench clunking/clicking.

no unless you spent a ton of money on a scope and rifle setup. For most people this is overkill

It's much easier if your only using a one piece base.

Like anything else, it depends on what you expect from your rifle. I've mounted a scope to a rifle on my lap, but I don't recommend it.
