I am planning on making videos with friends, just fun and comedy and i am planning on buying Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9, would i be able to do greenscreen videos(with video backgrounds) , have myself in the video at teh same time as 2 or 3 different charactors, make effects like exploding, catching on fire, going thru space...ect...

Yes, You hold the ctrl button down while you "Trim" the movie. @

or you can search for it on the help menu.

to get the high pitch sound you right-click the audio track under the clip you taked in slo mo or hi speed and press the selector at the lower part of the window.

if your doing special effects you should get adobe after effects cs3 and for editing sony vegas pro 8. check out my video the apple and you can shee several special effects made by both programs

I got a problem with this software

the video seemed to move repeatedly from one frame to another...

its like u can't even see properly how the vid played...

when I play the vid, it would repeated the same frame for a few secs b4 going to thenext frame and does the same thing...

if anyone know about this, can u guys tell me how to turn it off...? or is my editing software is corrupted...?

you probaby have te RAM preview on. go to the baron the top of the window where all those file and effects texts are, and i think you will find the prewew text in there and be able to change it. but if you add too many effects and layers it will lag too so its always a little bit laggy

I can't import .AVI?! Can somebody help me? If i import an avi video and i can't play it, their is just the sound and if i place it in the timeline its in the audio.

OK, right. You cant import an AVI file to windows movie maker because WMM is shit. What I did was downloaded a video converter which converts your files from AVI to WMV and you can use it on windowsmoviemaker. If you buy or download Sony Vegas it will automatically accept the AVI file and you can use it.

what are u talking about i import .AVIs to WMM all the time but i cant upload them cause my neibor is sooooo paranoid and thinks that if anything of her younger brother is on the web like his voice or limbs, he will get kidnapped when she has him on her facebook but back to the .AVI problem. like i said i import .AVIs to movie maker all the time, but i have the XP version so that might be the reason

have you tried saving the file to your computer and then importing from your computer directly into the program? thats what i do and it seems to work fine

Just change the video format from .MOV(I assume thats what you're using) to .AVI
