This is a magnificent film..love it..it keeps u attached for the whole length of the movie and ends it with that diva-esque drag show with aplomb.!!!!! DId Chiwetel use his voice for all these?. Great weekend - i watched Kinky Boots, UP and then Patrick 1,5 - great movies one after another.

I love Chiwetel Ejiofor. He's a brilliant actor (and handsome) and strangely enough a very decent woman lol. If you ever see Kinky boots just watch his walk at the very end after the runway performance lol. (Side note: if you ever watch greenwich mean time aka g:mt he's naked. its a very wonderful five seconds lol.)

The film was based on a true story of a struggling shoe factory in Earl Barton which the BBC made a documentary of. Barton's famous church is shown at the start of the film, but most of it was shot in Northampton. The train scene is actually's Wellingborough station, not Northampton. I expect Northampton's station is a bit too big and bustling and thus would spoil the "Northampton is a rural backwater" feel that the film wanted/needed to portray. Hope this helps! : )
