You are wrong because both Apollo 19 and Apollo 20 Saturn V have been modified to reach polar orbit and that is the right reason why you can see saturn V leaved first stage at higher altitude then Apollo usual missions.I have already explained that in my previous interviews with Luca Scantamburlo.Thank you very much for your post!
That would have required extensive modification to the booster, less payload upmass to boot. Can't go to the moon either from VAFB, have you'd have to go into a straight east trajectory, and that would not have been possible (landlocked) the last two Saturn Vs (Apollo 18 and 19) rest respectively at KSC and JSC. Apollo 20's Saturn V was modified to support Skylab (removal of the 3rd stage) besides, February 2nd 1976 would have the inclination of the moon over Africa.
In what way have they been modified then eh? what did they physically put on the rocket? common man, anyone with a slight grasp on orbital mechanics can see through this.

Moonwalker, please confirm or deny this information: in the original crew there were Stephanie Ellis and Aleksei Sorokin. Apparently they died about a month before the launching - supposedly from an accident. Sorokin was replaced by Yuri Romanenko.
They didn't die about a month before they have been simply dismissed by the program and the back up crew took their place about 3 weeks before the launch date
Must be hard to pull off a "secret" mission when the Saturn V makes all that noise! Must have rattled all of Lompoc out of bed for sure!
