  • Is the first song on '80 Pop Piano just improvised or is it from an actual recording? It just sounds very familiar to me, but I can't figure out what song it is.

  • @patmm97 It's the chord progression of Knockin' on Heaven's door.

  • @zioguido Knockin' OHD, Okay. Now I can sleep at night. ;) You have great chops. I am really enjoying using my KP.

  • Some people seem to be confused about where the sounds are originating from with the keyboard hooked up to the V Machine. All of the sounds you hear in this video are coming from Key Performer which is loaded into The V Machine. These are not the sounds that come with the V Machine. Watch some of the other V Machine videos if you want to hear the sounds that come pre loaded on it.

  • This combination is probably a less costly alternative to The Hammond SK1 as they both have almost the same sound features. If you already have a laptop to run KP on then it is really low cost.

  • I don't care about the sounds, THIS GUY IS BRILLIANT on the keyboard!!!

I'm guessing he's an accomplished pianist & either owns a music store, works or has worked in a music store, and definately is or has been in a band. I was watching both hands and that sustain pedal just flow along like mercury "liquid metal".

    Amazing playing ability my friend!!!

  • Hello .... I bought the V machine ...... but I can not import the plugins with my usb key .... how .... thank you for your help

  • I like the idea of this, but reading up on it I already have a headache. is it that much of a pain in the ass?

  • what are the sounds like straight out of the box. is that the rhodes sound they give you that you were playing with? can you get better ones?

  • does the v machine have good Fender rhodes sounds, and by good I meanHerbie Hancock style. I have a casio px 320 and I was looking to up grade to something a bit better. if this has what I need for live performances than I think I'll be Just fine.

  • Qual è il nome della tastiera?? What's the name of the keyboard??

  • @axexor47 Evolution MK-461c

  • pianoteq is much better than this

  • Hahaha I looked at his playingstyle and his fingers and immediatley thought of David Paich from TOTO, and then he plays TOTO. :D

  • Hai creato una BOMBA!

  • Nice Play & Review!! How it work...? do you need a computer for this? or you can just install any VST in this machien to play with a controller? thx

  • Great playing and feeling! Could you tell me which song was that you played on the 80s piano? And on the Grand C5?

  • Hi Good playing,,Is That b3 Organ from the v bundled software.Sounds like it would eat up some Hard drive space..Where can I find and buy the organ voices ???

  • great - thanks - do you know how much a v machine costs roughly? and can you run different VST instruments at the same time, for example Key Performer and a Hammond program

  • Where does a humble man learn how to play like you do?

I mean, I can rao out a few chords but when it comes to Jazz/Blues.. I'm lost for the complexity of the Chord's Construction.

How long did it take you to learn to play like that?

    Kind Regards, Kindle.

  • Very nice, you play very well ! Could you tell me what's the brand of your keyboard ? Thanks

  • I can't be sure from this distance of course but it looks like an "M Audio" to me. They Start from £62.50 for a 49 Key Bog standard Controller. Or an advanced type say the M Audio Axiom Pro 49 is around £389 & is compatable with everything!

Otherwise Novation are nice controllers! Oh Yes!

Or if you want the Creme da la Creme - Get yourself a Waldorf Blofeld 49 key Synth! 60MB of Sample Mem! Bout £700 tho.

It all depends on if you're Analog or Digital really. But do some research first! :-)

  • @chenoaa31 - I can answer this question because I have the same one! It's an Evolution MK-461C.

  • Is the CP Electric grand included in keyperformer or a seperate sound library?

  • Never mind see it is. Is it multi-layered and comparable to Hollow Sun's library?

  • wow the organ rocks!

  • Just found out today about GSI . . impressive bundle of vintage emulations, I just wish they would make their software compatible with Pro Tools platform.

  • I'm sorry, my plugins aren't compatible with ProTools.

  • @pianist007, there are VST to RTAS converters available. I bought one & the plug-ins work great in pro-tools .

  • i downloaded 3 demos of your instrument plugins. they load up and i get sound (i used a wrapper to convert to rtas and opened them in pro tools on my mac), but none of the knobs, buttons, or sliders are clickable in the plugin window. nothing is adjustable. is this a problem or do i just have to register the plugins? i plan on buying them, i just want to make sure they will work. thanks!

  • This is due to an incompatibility with the rtas wrapper.

  • you funny!

  • how is the noise level, i heard some complaining about the noise it produces. this was using the standard plugins.

maybe you could upload some mp3's or .wav (lossless) from the standard plugins and some you added.

    thanks in advance

  • Yes, the S/N ratio is quite low, despite they claim it's 96dB. In one of the latest firmware revisions they increased the headroom by adding a software gain and a soft-clipper, and the output level is now higher, but this just looks like a workaround to me. Definitely not a studio-grade audio interface, but fair enough for the stage.

  • any latency or problems with this buddy?

  • Latency is about 7 ms at 256 buffers. The only problem is that it is a bit slow when reading samples from the USB stick or the internal flash drive. KeyPerformer doesn't stream samples, it loads the entire sampleset into memory prior to playing, and the largest sampleset is roughly ~40 Mb. This will load in about 3-5 seconds on the V-Machine, and in less than 1 second on a Windows PC.

  • Bravo! 5*****

  • what is the key USB controller?

  • Evolution MK-461C

  • Nice demo. Found the link at Matrixsynth. You certainly can play.
