Going out calling for my first time in the morning, hopefully will have some luck like i did the other day when killing a Jake, but my buddy called that one in and hes younger than me haha.
very informative info, I've hunted for years, and can honestly vouch for everything you say. It's all very good sound advice, and the calling is good too. Don't listen to the haters. They've probably never been in the woods, and if they have, they've probably never "called" in a turkey. My largest bird is a 24lbs 11.5" beard 1.25" spurs Missouri tom.
Thanks Chris, from a beginning turkey hunter. These vids, basically explaining a hunt, are the best I've found as a rookie. Magazines are great, but usually lack the most basic of information for readers new to the sport. Rookies ask: "How does this usually go down on a day out in the woods turkey hunting?" "Why an owl?" "Why a crow?" "Why carry so many calls?" Thanks Chris. We appreciate the fact that you thought of us by putting this together.
I think that this series of videos are great for the first time hunter and I will have my nephew watch them to learn.I cant stand most of the hunting shows that show nothing but the kills and where to spend your money.I think that you did a great job thanks.
This video is more about the set up and when to call, not an instructional on how to call.......if you two can do better please post some videos.............

I'd think I'm better than average at running a turkey call. I also don't think I'm good enough to be making a video to show new hunters how to call. I think your far below average in your calling. If you want to hear me call send me a message for my phone number
Well,I have been guiding for over 13 years, my clients have had great success.........I guess the turkeys think my calling is better than subpar and those are the only critics I'm trying to impress.
I have to wonder if you've ever heard a real hen...........I have heard real hens that sound like chalk on a chalk board , I've heard hens that are so raspy it sounds like gravel on a hiway..............If you're basing "good" turkey calling on what you see in videos and at calling contest, you have never heard "real life calling".
This guy sounds nothing like a turkey in anyway. I'd hate for a new hunter to be using this to learn how to call. The kee kee made me laugh as did the comments of not sounding like a hen when the cadence is off.
this is definitly the most helpful video on turkey hunting that i've found so far. and you're good at calling. every hen sounds different

That owl hoot and kee-kee was pretty poor.
You make a turkey calling instructional video and use a call that isn't broke in yet that sounds terrible.. LOL
Guys don't learn how call turkeys from a human, learn from turkeys

im not loving the kee-kee run.. it needs to be a bit higher pitched..

how do make the kee kee sound??
biggestjohnnycashfan 3 years ago
Will a mouth call, you need to put alot of pressure on the reed with your tongue and make a "wee wee" motion with your jaw.
It is easiest on a straight reed call with 2 or three latex reeds.
Good luck!
