Alright i got BOTH GAMES and i must say, they are pretty even, the black commentator in 2k is as annoying as fuck, he says kenny smith's lines with ten times more annying tone. The graphics are much better in Live no doubt, but the gameplay is FUN in Live but more realistic and MUCH SMOOTHER AND REALISTIC in 2k9. Dont get too excited abt team USA in Live because for some f'ed up reason they have stoudemire instead of boozer.the replay angles SUCK in Live. overall. Live= 8/10 2k9= 9/10
i really don't care how the graphics are, whats important is the gameplay. 08 on dynasty was pretty horrible i ddn't like it as much idono why, it just wasn't realistic as it was. the only gripe about the DNA stat sheets changing daily, is that the fundamental reason for me to play a season is too enjoy and CREATE my OWN season. and this may dictate my game for me a little too much. Same with hot zones, after watching some games with Lakers vs Spurs 2008 game 1 and 2 it seems that they will just take a shot when they are open regardless of where the hell the are on the court lol. They also seemed to miss a hell of alot too aswell as hit.

i tried giving Live 09 a chance when i downloaded the demo but that game suck balls of steel (c) Duke Nukem. NBA 2k is going to stay on top for a LONG time. I'll keep it real with all of you. The last time NBA Live was ACTUALLY good was NBA Live 2003 (Jason Kidd on the cover). Back then NBA 2k was coming up but Live was rapping them. The tables have turned when ESPN Basketball (NBA 2k4 A.I. last time on cover) killed it with the new feature Isomotion and the new 24/7 mode which was mad sick. After that, Live started to get gayer and gayer while 2k continues to rapped them. NBA 2k continues to get better while Live is trying to keep up.

As long as they're not skating, runing out of bounds, missing wide open lay-ups and dunks, then rediculous players doing ridculous moves in the crowded paint like 360 dunks by Nash, it should be an amazing game. Live has been better for 2 years. 2k used to be better but the last one sucked balls. I hate the way players look in 2k8. Its so fake and unreal. And the game is kinda buggy. Live 08 was much more realistic and I played the demo for Live 09 and its nice. I liked 2k a few years ago but Live always had the better graphics.
You can download the demo on xbox live if you have a gold membership. And in a few days they will make it available to download for anybody with any membership. Try it out that shit is off the chain.

So say if you feel that the Pistons being a defensive natured team just don't play good enough defense u can go to that teams options and bump up the slider a notch or two and you'll notice a slight improvement. Same thing goes for converted 2K fans. Give live a shot every year a real one if your having problems with the gameplay see if you can fix them with the sliders as well don't just write off Live cause you like 2K now. Bought the rights to the NFL forcing us to pretty much have no choice but to play Madden for the next decade LOL. Good move for them but honestly I would have liked to see some different companies give a shot at an NFL game when the next gen systems first came out. All the freestyle moves total control all that on top of how fast they move makes it "EXTREMELY" hard to play any kinda good or realistic defense. Alright i got BOTH GAMES and i must say, they are pretty even, the black commentator in 2k is as annoying as fuck, he says kenny smith's lines with ten times more annying tone. The graphics are much better in Live no doubt, but the gameplay is FUN in Live but more realistic and MUCH SMOOTHER AND REALISTIC in 2k9. Dont get too excited abt team USA in Live because for some f'ed up reason they have stoudemire instead of boozer.the replay angles SUCK in Live. overall. Live= 8/10 2k9= 9/10

i really don't care how the graphics are, whats important is the gameplay. 08 on dynasty was pretty horrible i ddn't like it as much idono why, it just wasn't realistic as it was. I can't decide whether 2k9 has a better challenging dynasty mode than live 09, i hate it especially when the players are just standing there and not making a move.

Sorry but 2k9 does not have better graphics. I played both and Lives graphics blow 2k9 graphics off the globe. Live looks way better and has more detail. 2k9 is the one that looks like a damn cartoon

the only gripe about the DNA stat sheets changing daily, is that the fundamental reason for me to play a season is too enjoy and CREATE my OWN season. and this may dictate my game for me a little too much. Same with hot zones, after watching some games with Lakers vs Spurs 2008 game 1 and 2 it seems that they will just take a shot when they are open regardless of where the hell the are on the court lol. They also seemed to miss a hell of alot too aswell as hit.

i tried giving Live 09 a chance when i downloaded the demo but that game suck balls of steel (c) Duke Nukem. NBA 2k is going to stay on top for a LONG time. The only thing that NBA 2k is missing is more throwback jersey (i'm a big fan of rocking a throwback jersey online play like Washington Bullets jersey that's my team Washington Wizards) Anywho other then that it's still the best basketball game until Live get their mind right.

I'll keep it real with all of you. The last time NBA Live was ACTUALLY good was NBA Live 2003 (Jason Kidd on the cover). Back then NBA 2k was coming up but Live was rapping them. The tables have turned when ESPN Basketball (NBA 2k4 A.I. last time on cover) killed it with the new feature Isomotion and the new 24/7 mode which was mad sick. After that, Live started to get gayer and gayer while 2k continues to rapped them. NBA 2k continues to get better while Live is trying to keep up.

LOL.. no matter how hard live tries to make the game good.. they fuck up and over do it.. they need to focus on the gameplay/movements of the game.. all the features wouldnt be half as bad if the gameplay was good. but live always have great music and graphics.. guess thats worth it for the live fans.

i have the Live 09 demo and players are still robotic not natural like 2k9. but live 09's gameplay improved from last year, but it still can't much up with 2k9.

I downloaded the demo on my 360 and I fuckin hate NBA Live 09.. jumpshots are wack.. you can barely do shit against the compuyter anymore.. when you jump you have to fuckin take like 2 big steps and then jump its weird and wack and robotic.. trying to steal is also a no-no anymore.. fuck I dunno if Im gonna get it this Christmas

People bitch about Live bein too arcade when I think 2k has trumped Live in that aspect (only aspect) you cant make simple passes, cuts, crossovers, hell post game isn't simple there's always an extra animation where there shouldn't be (Nash doesn't run back to the half court line,jump, then throw the rock over his shoulder on pick and rolls). get it right Live has and will continue to be better than 2k

As long as they're not skating, runing out of bounds, missing wide open lay-ups and dunks, then rediculous players doing ridculous moves in the crowded paint like 360 dunks by Nash, it should be an amazing game. As for 2K games they seem more arcade-like not that thats a bad thing, I think 2K's more of a pick-up and play game. Live takes a litle more time to get adjustd to, but I think Live has always been better, as far as bein more realistic, better gameplay, and you cant knoc Dynasty mode.

Live has been better for 2 years. 2k used to be better but the last one sucked balls. I hate the way players look in 2k8. Its so fake and unreal. And the game is kinda buggy. Live 08 was much more realistic and I played the demo for Live 09 and its nice. I liked 2k a few years ago but Live always had the better graphics.

it's a new year EA did an incredible job with madden 09 they actually added insane features AND tweaked the gameplay mechanics which is huge for them in my opinion cause quite honestly they have absolutely no competition right now. And so far it's an amazing game. So say if you feel that the Pistons being a defensive natured team just don't play good enough defense u can go to that teams options and bump up the slider a notch or two and you'll notice a slight improvement. Same thing goes for converted 2K fans. Give live a shot every year a real one if your having problems with the gameplay see if you can fix them with the sliders as well don't just write off Live cause you like 2K now. EA has done in the "PAST" to be crowned the BBall king again. Again I'd like to stress these are just "MY PERSONEL" preferences and dislikes. I do enjoy live but if I have to pick one (and usually I do) it's been 2K since 2K5. Bought the rights to the NFL forcing us to pretty much have no choice but to play Madden for the next decade LOL. Good move for them but honestly I would have liked to see some different companies give a shot at an NFL game when the next gen systems first came out. A little Lazy in there sports department. madden went through the same slump on these next gen systems. When NFL 2K5 came out and sold well EA bought the NFL license through 2010 I believe. When I read that I lost respect for them because I owned NFL 2K played it and Loved it. But I "ALSO" owned madden of the same year and played it and loved it as well. So fast...So when people say the defense sucks on live what they mean is they gave all the power to the offensive guy. All the freestyle moves total control all that on top of how fast they move makes it "EXTREMELY" hard to play any kinda good or realistic defense. The things they've added for defensive control over the years is not very effective against anyone who plays Live, it's "VERY" lopsided. Once again these r things that you cannot change.
