I enjoy Super Stardust HD. Other than that there isn't too many space shooters out for PSN.

tried the demo. not bad, but not my thing. isn't there anything like the R-Type game for the PS3? with a side view and, preferably, fullHD graphics ;)

Well, there is some R-Type games you can buy(old R-Type games in a collection). Other than that there is Söldner-X. But that game is also on PC. I have been really wanting some side scrolling shumps for PS3 as well.

@Rayth69 I'd suggest getting mame for the old arcade shooters.... or pettition sony to get good shooters instead of this "experimental" crap. I miss the good old arcade style hectic and flashy shooters (the only one we get is the 1942 remake

I actually think this game is incredibly fun, on Hardcore mode it's pretty difficult once you get to the higher levels (20+). Also the trick with the bombs that you use for the guardians doesn't work all the time.

Well it has worked for me every time on every difficultly. So I don't know what to tell you. Any plans to make a video of you getting to the higher levels? What is the highest level that you have got to? You really think this game is fun? Do you own many other games? For me this was a game that kept me playing for MAYBE 18 hours.

The highest level I got to on Hardcore is 34 and 53 on easy. I would make a video but seeing as I don't own a recorder I can't. Not sure why this is so fun to me but I've played tons of games from GH to Fallout... For me it's fun but I can definetely see how this game can appeal boring or bad to others.

That's cool. I just couldn't get into it really. I wanted to and tried to but couldn't. I think the highest I have got on hard is around 30. It's been a while so I really don't recall. I wish the game would pick up a bit a little faster. And also it would be cool if there was more features.

Wish I saw this earlier today. I was funking stupid enough to buy it! Although if I'd known Blitz developed this I wouldn't have even thought about it. Everybody knows how shit they are. Hell, if Zapper is their claim to fame it's a miracle Blitz haven't closed down (TAX dodge?)

My voice is not monotone. It is baritone perhaps. But most men have voices close to mine if not deeper. Generally when people comment in regards to my voice they are little kids that have not gone through puberty yet. And I don't care for those reviewers that sound like they just freebased a bag of crack. That is not how normal people sound.

So you don't own a 360 or PS3? Because I think if I played this game and I didn't have a PS3 I would appreciate it more. But after playing games like Super Stardust HD, Power Up Forever isn't that good. For all the people that buy all the PSN titles it really doesn't bring anything new to the table and what it dose bring gets old pretty quick. Every Thursday we get new games we can download on the PS3. I do my best to tell people what games they can keep for years for little money.

Not only do you admit to only watching your friend play you completely ignore the facts that I give in the video on how to kill the bosses and how weak some of the power ups are. This game is pretty lame. Sure it looks good. But graphics do not make the game. You would know that if you were any good at games.

ok, i played the game and i still strongly agree that its pretty amazing! its just an overall great game to play and have fun with. yeah, it might not be the most amazing game ever, but its still a lot of fun and something i would suggest to other gamers. simply put, its fun is all. sorry to dis your opinion, that was my bad. sorry man.

I agree with you where's all the classic style shmups like Soldner X these games aren't worth $9.99 they're only worth maybe $6.99 tops. Come on Sony start making some cool shmups maybe remake some classics like Blazing Lazers or maybe R-Type Leo are just two of my many favorites

The 360 version would definitely have achievements as it's a mandatory requirement from MS for all games, XBLA always have a maximum of 200 points.

BTW, have you ever played "Warning Forever"? Awesome game, getter than this crap. So it's sacrilidge for them to be ripping off it's name.

It's a freeware PC game, awesome title. It's a succession of boss fights, but each boss will adapt to how you killed the previous one, as in additional armor to an area that you keep shooting, or more weapons to areas of the screen you frequent more.

Awesome title, won a few awards a few years back too!

GTA4? Well I have the game. But I don't play nearly as often as I would like to. I still haven't beat it. As sad as that is. And I have only played the online once. Right now my focus is on Blast Factor and Socom for the most part.

Doesn't remind me of Flow at all. Flow was suppose to be laid back and what not. This game was hyped up to be like a bad ass multi directional shooter like Super Stardust HD. And Super Stardust HD kicks the shit out of PowerUp Forever.

Actually it would better resemble 'Nucleus' as opposed to Flow. I love flow, nucleus and super stardust HD. I've not played PowerUp Forever yet however.

have you tried, 'Everyday Shooter' ? i'm not entirely sure you would love it but maybe give it a try I have a slight feeling you might enjoy it, or at least appreciate it a lot more than PowerUp Forever.

Everyday Shooter is a true work of art. I have been meaning to review that game but other ones just keep popping up. I have footage for some other games that I really should get to first but I will make a point to review that game. More people need to know how awesome it is.
