What the hell is wrong with the buddy? He doesn´t react in the slightest when the diver starts to show clear signs of LMC respectively BO. With a buddy like this you can just as well dive alone and drown yourself.
the should never stand up, and get out half body out of the water . Only remove the face/head out of the water. when he stands up, all blood goes down and get the samba.
named after the dance. when pressure of oxygen in the blood stream suddenly gets too low you body blacks out and often shakes uncontrolably looking like someone is dancing. it is common among breath hold divers for a number of reasons
Based on what I see, I would think it was a black-out. Loss of Motor Control (samba) has usually more fast twitching movements, remaining consciousness and less muscle weakness as showed in this video. The observed spasms could be caused by post-black-out movements, often repeating the last intended movements. The back arching is something that is seen quite regular with (severe) black-outs. The only question left, if is the victim had retrograde amnesia. This is often typically for black-out
It is difficult to descern, but based on what I see, I would say black-out. A loss of motor control typically has more fast twitching movements, only partially decreased conciousness and partially muscle weakness. The movements observed do fit more post-black-out movements, where the last intended movement is repeated in combination with severe diaphram contractions.
To me, it looks more to a black-out then an loss of motor controll.
samba then blackout...

As Apneist81 said with LMC (samba) u don't go completelly unconcious. You can see hem pass away at 1.22

I would bet on B.O. too. The samba started a bit earlier, and then it went to total B.O.
