i aint care where the fuck this song originated: cambodia or thailand. what i care is this: in this site & others that post this song, the thais came in & claim that its origin is thai; thus this shows that the thais understand the genius of samouth, altho they may not understand the khmer language, & are worried that the genius of samouth may shadow their own idols.

I think that you're wrong about your comment. This song is written by Paiboon Butrkhan for theThai movie " Monrak lukthung" in 1970 and then was covered by Sinn Sisamouh into khmer language ,that's very nice job.

It's normal phenmenon that both Thai & Kmer bring the foreign songs to cover into their languages

and it's not problem and should not use the word "copy" ,it's impolite .

Hi Narin, yes this song was part of the Thai musical movie "Mon ruk loog thoong" released in May of 1970. I beleive Sinn Sisamouth's version wasn't released until 1973-74? I'm assuming this song was originally Thai but I prefer Sinn Sisamouth's version. If you search youtube user "UGIAkira" he/she has the original Thai version posted up along with the other songs from that movie.

This song is Khmer original song in the 60s just like Khmer original song Chhnam Mun ឆ្នាំមុន sang by Em Songseung in the 60s
