Damn, as mapper, i always wanted to recreate shadowman for left 4 dead. But im such a lazy person. I only work on prefabs. But... is this dead or still on it's way?
Amazing. Could you possibly upload this for use in garrys mod? Favorite game ever made, Im waiting on Tim haywood to finish his book called shadowman: the asylum. And is shadowman open source or did you recreate it?
@kkevinC Yeah, with Source i can incorporate so much more into the game elements using the Havok physics. I had originally created some physics barrels in the level but took them out. The next video demo should have physics objects in =]
I had also created a test level where the red cart thing collapesed and your inside as it falls into the hot coals. Physics awesomeness!
@ShadowManFanClub Awsome! Can't wait to see it. Also, seeing as it's the source engine, that doesn't mean just physics but lighting/HDR aswell! I can see the possibilitys.. haha. Refreshing to think about.
@kkevinC Mate, we got realtime dynamic shadows, Bloom/HDR and all sorts. I should of used the flashlight in the video against a wall, every time i do i get confused because ShadowMan can not produce shadows like that, and then i remember its the Source engine =D
coding the whole game, and i'll play it like it was the first time...just hearing again the soundtrack the screams and noises...i felt the opressive asylum ! great job ! amen to source !
as it seems. This is like a mix of Asylum the Gateway and Playrooms! Its scary even without the enemies, imagine what it would be WITH those crazy ass fat guys!! This is scary, yet, I can't wait to enter this place!
I´m so in love with this game, i used play this along with my lil cousin at night when we were little and godamn! it was scary!!

It is created in the Source Engine. The game engine used with Half-Life, left 4 dead, counterstrike .etc
They distribute a free developer kit.
