CoH - Making a Map - HQ and Entry Points

On mine every time i click 'new' and select what options i want, it comes up with a box saying 'Could not load selected mod dll'. when i go back to the options the only 'mod' choice i have is invasion of normandy, i only have tales of valor and have a windows 7, please help?

I have a issue, whenever i assign a player to an object, map entry point or hq, the player assignment automatically turns every object in the map to that player. this makes it impossible to play if the spawn points are assigned to the same player

how do you make triggers , way points etc. I want to make a map that me and my friend can play , but we either defend or attack against oncoming waves of enemy tanks infantry and plane bombardments.

@MrMtastic go to your c drive, program files, thq, company of heroes, then down the bottem should be world builder.exe. It took me ages to get it working due to too many mods but all good now

Hi, i am working on quite a huge map right now but i was still not able to figure out how to creat longer map descriptions (scenario/scenario properties). I got something like 25 charakters and thats it. The usual maps got text of 100 words though. Would be great if you could answer me that would really give my map another bit of beauty

put that in where it says at the top like documents or w/e and u may reach it then, mapping isnt easy btw but great when you get the hangof it :)

if the thing at the top doesnt work go to my computer > local disk (c:) > program files > THQ > company of heroes ... then look at the bottom of the list for world builder it will probs be there if u installed it the regular way

The editor is in the game, search in the folders of the game, i don´t remember in which, but it is in one folder.

I had that exact problem...what you have to do..(well what I had to do) is when you have placed the first object, move it around a little, then try and place a new object and carry on doing that if it won't let you place another object. Hope that helps :)

I need some help, and have some questions.

1. How can I test/play my map?

2. How can show/select where my points cover (as in their territory)

3. Whenever I save, it says that the HQ starting points cannot be in the same sector, even though they are on opposite ends of the map.

Please help.

Hey guys sorry I haven't been replying lately. I've been extremely busy lately with real life projects.

Some of you were asking how to even launch the world builder. If you have Vista or 7 beta it's much easier than XP/2000. Just open up Games Explorer and right click Company of Heroes>Launch Worldbuilder.

In Windows XP/2000 you have to go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes and launch worldbuilder.exe.

Oh yeah no problem.

Go into the map you've created, hit file>save as. Then choose the directory called C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\WW2\Data\Scenarios\MP. Then load it up and BAM it's saved.

Can I play it in skirmish mode? and do I need a patch?

Yes you can play in Skirmish and online assuming both players have the map files. And as long as both players have the same version nobody needs to patch.
