The further away you are standing from the bag when you hit it with the bat, the farther it will go.

What version are you playing? The versions sold in the non-US regions are measured in meters instead of feet.

If that's not the issue, I probably am too stupid to figure it out. =) Something else that affects how far it travels is where the bag is on the platform at the time. If it's sitting on the right side of the platform it's going to go a little bit further than if it were sitting in the middle or the left side. (which is why you see me pushing the bag sometimes, to help be more accurate)

It's just a silly internet fad. It's tremendously hard to explain...basically people type numbers or symbols that look like different letters..in this case 1337 is LEET, which is a whole different story entirely. It's just something you see a lot on the internet and occasionally (aka this video) take part in just because you're bored. Also, most people use it simply to show that they're joking or not really being serious. Some (weird) people type that way 100% of the time though..

How long did it take for you to make this?

Well, it's hard to say. I took a break after every few characters generally. The game was probably on for about 12 hours or so, minus about...5-6 hours that I wasn't actually playing, maybe more. Maybe around 6-7 hours, lol. It was one of those days where everything I had planned to do that day went down the toilet, so I was stuck with nothing to do. Decided I would try to do this with Link. Did it, saved the replay, then thought, "Hmm..I could do it with everybody and put it on YouTube..." :P

How'd you find the strategies?

Figured each and every one of them out myself. =P

Generally, you try to get it somewhere in the vicinity of 57-59% or 68-71% and then position the bag in the correct spot on the platform (moving it even a few pixels counts for a couple extra feet usually). Then you have to figure out what part of the bat to hit the bag with. Hitting it with the very tip of the bat sends it a lot farther than hitting it with the inside part. Tough for characters such as DK and Samus who have a HUGE reach.

You have to figure out how to do it rather quickly for several characters too, meaning you have to find a way to make the damage be the exact number you want while still making the bag stop near the correct position on the platform so you can position it right within the time limit. It can be tough because a lot of times I couldn't really figure out how to get the correct amount of damage without sending the bag flying around >_>.

Probably confusing, but yeah.

Obviously, you don't understand the point of the video because you either don't know what 1337 means (and you should if you spend any amount of time on the internet) or you actually think that I'm attempting to hit it as far as I can. Believe me, I have hit MUCH higher than your 1800+ with every character.

Choose one character, try to make it land exactly on 1337, without using this video to give you any specific methods, and tell me how hard it is, then do it with the 37 other charaters.
