i studied with her at emerson college in the early 90's - she always told me that i didn't have to 'try so hard' with my voice . . . i listened and let go and she did indeed put her 'hand on my belly' although, i did not cry - i honestly thought - " just change this" - and i did . . . i decided to use my voice as an instrument . i was my own instrument and i decided that from then on i had my own notes to form and express, and so i did. thank you, kristin linklater.
