finland unlike sweden, certain sounds a lot different from norwegian norsecore(so-called black metal that is only limited to one sound and talks about nothing but the forest, vikings and winter). Finland's drumming is punk-ish.(the norsecore stuff norsecore, everything on that list excepting for archgoat, that's black metal.) The finnish scene is better in my opinion.

I'm from Norway, and I am a huge black metal fan. But I prefer Finnish black metal. In my opinion, no Norwegian black metal bands can compare themselves to Behexen, Satanic warmaster and Horna. Those 3 Finnish bands are without a doubt my favorites. Norwegian black metal is getting softer and softer in my opinion. Gorgoroth and Troll are 2 great Norwegian black metal bands, but again, they can't compete with Behexen, Satanic warmaster and Horna.

Nowadays Finland has much more good black metal bands than Norway. Norwegian bm-scene hasn't been even nearly as interesting since the 90's. But still, Burzum is the greatest of all. Can't wait for the new album!
