Organic Homemade Banana Blueberry @ 6 Months

Hi Lucy,

The last 5 days my son won't eat anything I give him, he just wants to nurse, but sometimes he hardly does even that. He had been eating solids really good for 1.5weeks. he's 6.5months.

Just wondering if you ever had problems like that with your kids and what you might have done?

This totally influenced me to make my 8 month old daughter home-made peach and blueberry! She loved it, she loves pretty much every fruit though. I've been trying to find her some healthy birthday cake recipes already because I hate the idea of giving her white sugar in just 4 months. Any suggestions?

I want to ask you something wich has nothing to do with this video. My apologies...

I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and the last couple of days i have seem to lost parts of my mucus plug. I've tried to find some more information but i can't find anything about losing the plug that early. If i remember correctly you went through the same thing with Kacen, i believe? Can you tell me a little bit more about this and if i should worry? thnx hun!

I'm glad to see you're making your own babyfood, it's so much healthier. I made mine as well but that was in the 1980's. Kudos to you, especially when you look at the expiration date on babyfood in the stores, some of it is good for years..I wouldn't want to feed that to my babies. It may take more time but like breastfeeding, it's what's best for baby.

Lucy, I work at a daycare and we have a 9 month old who looks identical to Peyson. Same chubby cheeks, same mouth, same eyes, same hair. I think of y'all every time I see her :)

@xxxjoelpolexxx But if it doesn't change anything with their health when they're older, I don't understand the difference. Organic or not, you can be completely healthy. It just seems like a big hassle to me.....just go to the store and buy some baby food! So much easier, and simpler...especially with 3 kiddos.

@Graciemay97 It's not about what is more simpler & easiest for me as a mom of 3 kiddos. As a Mom I put my needs to the side & my children first. I have the ability to be able to feed them organic produce & I have the ability to be able to make their food myself, so why wouldn't I? I can make the time. It may not be easy but what aspect of raising kids IS easy? lol I love them & would do anything for them.

I thought I read somewhere that berries should be held off until a year old, but I guess they may not have meant blueberries, because I know you always do your research. I'd love to give my 8 month old some blueberries, they are great brain food!

@wuvbus she may not be ready... Kacen didn't till 8 1/2 month. babies are different. Go by their own unique cues

I find it interesting that you don't do BLW and delayed solids. My EBF son didn't eat solids until almost 8 months. He hated pureed baby food.

@ElizabethBrake86 I love it. I imagine though if u had a bit of kitchen smarts you could just make do w/ a food processor/blender. I love bc I have zero knowledge & the books that come w/ it are great! It's really a whole kit that makes it soooo easy......it's fun!

do you have any tips on how to make homemade banana and have it not turn brown? Is it ok to feed them to them brown? I made them a few times and tried the lemon drops thing and they still turned brown fast and it grossed me out lol. PLease help! lol :)

lol she takes to it so well!!! my daughter was practically demanding food since she was 4 months, i waited until early 5 months and she will be 7 months on the 29 and she wont even eat baby food anymore, now she demands more texture lol and she wants whatever we are eating lol =P

@Darkcharmer1991 Awww! So cute how they learn to express their personality for such tiny babies! Peyson choked the first week on anything that wasn't like stage 1 purees. This is our first week on thicker textures & finger snacks like cheerios. We've had success with no choking :)

@TiggerTube09 They decided for me. Their cues. He was like 8+M b4 we tried solids & he wanted NOTHING to do w/ a spoon. All independent. He also had 8-10 teeth at the time & didn't choke. Peyson we started at 6M (again due to their own cues. No magical age, each baby is different) w/ zero teeth & she did choke. She had no interest in doing it her self. (Just like Jacelyn)
