  • why is guy playing guitar i hear no guitar in this song

  • loike that one as well

  • I am an orchestral metal fan and write production music - I tell you this is very very well crafted pop music.......the music industry sure is dead today

  • lol loved the 80's hair dos

  • She looks heaps like nelly furtado

  • This chick is smoking hot, prob the best natural sexiest chick going around!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • never really heard this band but man o man does this video (the freshness of fashion & dance) bring back the memories! "Fab" as I used to say back then.....

  • FUUUUUCCCKK !! xheck those armpits out... definately the 80's hahahahahahah

  • can someone please tell me where Wa Wa Nee were from in Australia, I tried to find out on wikepedia but it tells me nothing, very frustrating there isnt alot of information about Australian pop culture

  • @bluejeckett - A Good Web Site is australianmusichistory

They were from Sydney as best I can recollect. Also search under Paul Grey

  • @kanga999 cheers mate :)

  • is this nicolas cage and nelly furtado?ha

  • That girl is pure hotness. Next thing you know them yankees are disliking hair on the head too.

  • the chick is a spunk and he knows the merits of emotion

  • Comment removed

  • wasnt paul in slipknot aswell ?

  • what the hell is Paul doing with his hand at 1:37 ?lol

  • He wishes she looked more like him. 25 years later and I still hate it. I probably shouldn't be watching it.

  • @iloveoctopuses Ha-ha.... Its called validation. Sometimes you are just right all along.

I remembered their name, but not the song. I wish it were still so.....

  • Good memories. Year 11.

  • now THAT is a big track.

    EEEUUUURRRGGHHHH

    wassup all my 80s freaks

  • I'm almost embarrassed to say I got my hair coloured with one of those small patches of blonde like Paul Gray, back in the day. Ahh, the things you do when young... great band, great music.

  • OMG....I wish I was back there .........

  • The brunette in this video is incredible. I wonder what ever happened to her?

  • @NorthernUnion13 probably telling her kids she was in a video clip when she was young. I agree she is incredible.

  • Damn, me was very single in Sydney and on the scene at the time.

This was an OK club song early in the night before the real crowd would came in.

Chick looked sexy then, but now with the Internet one can stop the clip and see the hairy armpits. Who was she anyways? How much would she weigh now?

  • sorry guys i allways thought george micheal sang this tune.

  • Truly one of the greatest .. get a groove on tunes... yeah baby..

  • This is a pretty good impersonation of American style 80s synth Id say, youd never think it was actually Sydney in the background, and the brunette is borderline Madonna, I think the guys mullets and singlets fall down with the image a little lol And we wont mention the armpits of the two women lol

  • @bluejeckett New Wave/New Romantics is UK/Australian .. the Americans never really got it.

  • 1.21 into the clip, She's got a crazy five o'clock shadow going on

  • Sounds British/american to me

  • Pull those jeans up high! Ah the 80s.

  • wax em babe lol

  • the first sceen in this clip walking in the street. where in sydney was that filmed?

  • Awesome band. A great live show too in their heyday. Paul Gray is one of those super under rated writers and players. He still does the Wa Wa Nee thang from time to time but you will be more likely to catch him touring as MD for a whole host of acts. He plays a wicked piano. Steve Williams now living in Adelaide and still playing great guitar.

  • I saw them in 1986 as the support act for Feargal Sharkey and they were horrible live

  • love this tune! wore the grooves out on the 45, back in the day. Still makes me wanna get up and dance. Is that a pink singlet that paul grey's wearing, what a classic LOL!

  • OMG this was huge when it came out, I still have the record!

  • @ OtemoTenzi ... that's what, for some strange reason, what I remember and was looking for :|

  • this owsome nice!

  • HAIRY-ASS ARMPITS!!! : P

  • @OtomoTenzi Obviously hairy pussy too... :DDDDD Golden times!!! Not so much for the armpits for me...

  • @OtomoTenzi it's for extra stimulation ;)

  • @krononomikon LMAO!

  • How is that I have not heard this since 1986 or 7, yet can sing along?(!).

  • This was a number One hit in Australia in 1986

  • @RogerBravoLucas Hahaha i use to go to marconi too

  • Mate, this is an Aussie classic for sure.

  • The best cut on this album was a B-side jam called Manchild

  • I remember this - I was in love with the girl in this clip

  • Great 80's Aussie pop....

  • Great 80's Aussie pop !!!!!

  • OMG! Im a true 80's baby. I totally loved this song, hell I had the whole cassette tape. Wish I could find the cd these days.

  • @kfox45259 make your own

  • esta musica si que me gusta sobre todo da exactamente con el video clip

  • OMG i went into JB-HI-FI the other day and their it was The Essential Wa Wa nee on CD i was like wtf..

  • those are some sweet hair-do's!

  • Paul Gray is still one of the better singers getting around the pub circuit...

  • Any one know the name of the chick in the clip. Shes raging hot.

  • I bloody loved this song. lol

  • are these guys 12? heheeee....

  • Ah the 80's decade of "THE MULLET"

  • anyone else see it in cedar boyz?

  • At least she lived her moment...... Dream on..

  • Truly 80's Awesome stuff 4 any ROCKER !!!

    ..WA WA NEE 1986

  • wow yeahhh this song and video is nice amazing yeahh

  • You don't even have to listen to this song, to post up a comment!! This song is so GAY, and Faggish - as I used to remember this song being on the radio and such crap!!!....

  • @FacesOfTheWorld - Yeh, lucky we don't get this kinda shit in Brazil, Mitch! I heard it and remember seeing it on that Fox channel (I believe, it's cable) years ago on the Music show they had on, when I was in Australia visiting.

  • @MumboJumboisallitalk - Hey dude don't tell people here my name, mate. Otherwise, everything's cool. Anyways... Merry Christmas.

  • every single 80's song is dope.

  • @buggsmalone - That's why you don't even know what Talent is. And even this Gaylord song isn't TALENT!!

  • Shit video clips used to have real personility didunt theez. there are real peeple in there.

  • I remember his blonde hair more than his music. :D

    It's boppy. I loved the 80s.

  • @MGC10248 - Too BOPPY!!! That's why this song is gay!! I reckon most of the women ID's posters in here are actually guys or are Trannies!!! ...HAHAHAHAHAHA But very true! Oh so true!!

  • @MGC10248 - Boppy is Crappy!!

  • Sigh - I LOOOOOVE this song lol - 80's heaven

  • I used to listen to this when i was 11 years old.... i'm twelve now! :D

  • I am a girl whose name is Toi, not a guy, and I still think that paul grey is gorgeous. What do you look like.

  • Haley Joel Osment?

  • @Mrblackv1 -HAHAHAHAHA *LMFAO*

  • BRING BACK THE MULLET!!!!

  • Lmao loving the armpit hair on the chick

  • @BoDHunt3r Yeh. Nice bit of stubble, 'ey! Glad u like it! =D

  • @BoDHunt3r - I'm glad u like the stubble. =)

  • Y'know as tacky, 80-ish and mullet ridden this band was I actually saw them live

a couple of times in Sydney and they were excellent! Loved some of the keyboard solos! I'd put them up there with the Machinations, Time Bandits and Pseudo Echo. Dare I also mention Flotsam Jetsam?

Anyway, last weekend I heard this song in the supermarket and immediately thought 'George Michael'. Indeed my memory is failing badly...

  • @philbx1 -Bunch of GayLords!!

  • Good song sung by a great bloke.

  • @wozza2341 R u really that Gay??

  • @FacesOfTheWorld You are a really sick piece of work. If I admire someone for the work they do and because I think they are a good person, it doesn't mean I want to f**k them. You really disgust me.

  • @wozza2341 - Ahhh... Just go EAT ME!!!!

  • @wozza2341 - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... What a joke!!

  • PAUL GRAY. That is all.

  • I'd still like to give one to Paul Gray! MEOW!

  • Who is that girl? Is she still single?

  • @BEYONDTHEPALE1 yeah i was thinking that, might be a bit old for me now.

  • I loved this song ,i heard it about 5 years ago from a freind at work and forgot the name and if it wasn't for watching cedar boys i wouldn't have found it again. What an awesome song !!

  • @lome1 LOL

  • @lome1 - You'd have to be a Leb to watch that movie, Lome. And how 'Lame' r u by thinking that this Paul Gay(Gray) lead singer getting off in the song, is an awesome song?... Just crank up your pretentious V8 / V12 cars hotted-up with a fuel-rocket blaster, with your mobile disco & home, and play this crap will ya. You wouldn't even know what music is, without your pretentious "wannabe"-Rap-Wanking stars, mainly listening to techno with rap kinda tones!!....

  • I LOVE the guy playing guitar in the background - especially when there is no guitar at all in the song.

  • Man I was such a HUGE Wa Wa Nee fan back in the 80's I took it upon myself to dye my fringe Blonde...not a good look on an olive skinned girl lol! I still love their songs now...and I still have a huge crush on Paul regaurdless or whether anyone thinks he is cute or not. Always loved how they sounded like Prince

  • @chillichocaholic - Sounded like Prince??? What are u on??... Give me some of that Shit!! ...At least Prince could sing and still has talent!!!

  • is it just me or does Paul look really uncomfortable when the blonde is dancing up to him but loves it when the brunette is near him? @ 2.08 his face says it all really!

But I would give Paul stimulation ANY DAY!! And he looks much better now than he did then! I am going to see him on October 16th 2010 and cannot wait!!! :)

  • @satansdna -Yeh. Trust u to even concentrate on the video. Thanks for pointing it out.

  • @FacesOfTheWorld Well, it is kind of obvious and yes, I was concentrating on the video, the man gives me moisties :P

  • is it just me or does Paul Gray look really uncomfortable when the blonde girl is dancing up to him? He has the "she has bad BO / Bad Breathe" face

  • This Friday night 3/9/10 going to Enmore Theatre in Sydney see Paul Gray from Wa Wa Nee, Dale Ryder from Boom Crash Opera, Scott Carne from Kids in The Kitchen and 1927. 1927 are doing all their songs from ISH. Should be an excellent night.

  • @McNic71 Concert was awsome. All the guys were really good. Paul Gray was very funny. 1927 were brilliant. Fell in love with Eric all over again.

  • @McNic71 I would not have gone to that, even if someone paid me $1,000 to go and see it!

  • I love this song, but can anyone tell me what the chorus is saying after:

but I never thought you'd be that bold...?

    It sounds like:

Beyond the wall, oh oh oh oh oh

    or

The lucky wall, oh oh oh oh oh

  • @yourstoi - u were rite the 1st time ..... BOLD

  • @yourstoi I thought it was just meeyuppyyaaaahhhhh

  • @yourstoi HAHAHAHAHA!! Are u really that Gay???...

  • Is it true this song is about getting oral sex?.... You knew I needed.. stimulation but i never thought you'd be that bold... hmmm.

  • @antman19721 - Basically, yep ! Same as 'She gives me head', The Radiators, from around the same time/era/period !

  • Great song, great era real music, none of this gag crap, new age songs fade after listenign to them for a week, exception of some.

  • @Paul13J78 Dude thats what the older folk used to say about this music - You'll find the music of any era was generally bagged out by those from a previous generation, dating all the way back to the 50's when they said Elvis was "too dangerous for the masses" - However as we all know, they cleaned him up and sent him to Vegas and now the masses are his slave. Slave? Yes slave...Even from the grave :)

  • the main chick has hairy armpits..lol

  • Thanks for ther memories.

  • still have it on 7 inch vinyl great

  • LOL... Love it! I always loved that hair!

  • Lol nzoz -> He actually lools like a surfie Seinfeld now...hehehe!!!

  • Bring them back! Oooo yeah... Jamison Street nightclub (Berlin Club - for all you groovers on a Thursday night back in the 80's). Great band!

  • @ClandestineBoogue

that's what happens when you give spoiled beach brats electronic instruments as Christmas presents.

  • @nzoz1986 Yep.

  • @nzoz1986 Is that so? clearly you have no knowledge of Paul's brilliant and well respected career over the years...nor his background obviously. He is an amazing artist who has achieved much as the front man of Wa Wa Nee and in the background as a songwriter and musician. Just because you never liked his music, millions of others did and still do...your so shallow and disrespectful.

  • @ClandestineBoogue

Hate is such a powerful word.... Not sure if a pop song from the 80's would have such an effect?

By the way... What do you look like? Let's have a look at you and your ugly mug and see if it's ant better than this blokes??

Perhaps you should change your username to ClandestineBOGAN!!!!!

  • @ClandestineBoogue Yeh... and what a Fagg "Gay-ish" song too!!

  • Chick in striped top is hawt!

  • Saw Paul Gray at 1927 Concert in Perth June 2010 he was classic and his voice sounded perfect. What an awesome showman

  • met Paul G at last night's 1927 gig, he was the sweetest.

  • I was 15 or 16 when Wa Wa Nee came out....still kicks ass! Been looking for them and Pseudo Echo music on here for a while. Gave up the search, but am glad I started the search again...cuz...JACKPOT!!! Just brings me back...I agree...good times!

  • I was 15 or 16 when Wa Wa Nee came out....still kicks ass! Been looking for them and Pseudo Echo music on here for a while. Gave up the search, but am glad I started the search again...cuz...JACKPOT!!! Just brings me back...I agree...good times!

  • Great Video and Great Song! 80s is and always will be the best! Thanks a million for posting.

  • Yes Tania Lacey was in Locomotion but that isn't her in this video.

I recently saw Tina Arena perform and the lead singer Paul Gray was the music director for her on keyboard.

  • I miss the 8O's...... oh sweet youth.

  • Thankyou nzoz for such a pristine reproduction of this video. How do you have access to these videos, if you don't mind me asking? Did you record them all to VHS back in the 80s yourself?

  • @boogiefever1985 thanks for the comment... and no, I got this clip from a friend... i don't know where he got his copy from. there are some other clips i recorded from VHS back in the 80's that is on my nzoz channels. One of them is 'Egypt' by Mental As Anything.

  • @nzoz1986 - The Mentals(Mental As Anything). Gees, they were a 'Mental' band, but one of OZ's best bands as well!! Hey there you, with a sad face, come sit on my face and Live it up!! Ohhh... Live it up.....

  • @FacesOfTheWorld - HAHAHAHA 'come sit on my face' You are a Funny CUNT, Mitch!! How's it been??....

  • I love this song I had never even heard of it until I watched that episode of underbelly

  • I forgot this existed until that episode

  • Comment removed

  • How hot is the main girl? I have a post-80s crush on her! Scary to think she'd be 45-50 nowdays!

  • Australia- Defination:

One of the many countries that make best 80's music.

  • Another 80's classic I hadnt thought of in 20yrs!

    Thanks NZOZ great stuff.

  • I went to school with a dude that looked a dead ringer for the lead singer - naturally his nickname became "Wa Wa Nee" Greening if you're out there.......kudos my friend.

  • Such a great song.

  • More mullets than Adelaide...

  • Hair-larious

  • A lot of people have paid out on this group over the years (and still do, I'm looking at YOU Rockwiz!). but at the time they had a pretty unique sound for an Australian band and their hits were (are) pretty catchy.

  • That chick with the stripes is so cute!! Im in love!!!

  • Classic song aint heard it for yonks then heard it on underbelly golden mile

    Thanks for posting nzoz1986

Ignorant uneducated turd.

  • Quite soulful for an Aussie band!
