Thank you for this video, I am Körülü and just visited Ege for the first time, it was fascinating, and I miss it already. My DNA line is in the USA but I live in France now, and my family were viziers who ran things for the Ottoman Empire and then Napoléon in Slovenia.
In the ottoman empire if you said you are a turk, it meant you are a muslim, so people were saying i am Turk(Un jam tork) but not in a nationalistic way, but in religious meaning, later people all missunderstood, mixed Nationality and Religion, wich is a great mistake, they made a confusion and by so they started to say ''i am turk'' but in an nationalistic way. All the claimed turks in kosova, albania and macedonia are Albanians.
@Mist9879 I am from a long line of viziers, Christian. I am Köprülü, born and raised in the USA but had family in Slovenia, just visited Turkey, Ege, loved it!
ok its like this.. The turks that we know and see today in macedonia and kosova, are albanians.
Now you may say yeah right. But in the 1st world war, when also the ottoman empire collapsed, there were albanians who wanted an albanian country, there were albanians who wanted back the ottoman infantry, and assimilated them self because of they're islamic religion, and claimed them self Turks.
What language are you talking now at home in Turkey? I had one student mate Turk, his family emigrated 50 years ago in Turkey. He tald me, his mother was always talking to the kids macedonian language.
@jabolcishte They originated in Albania, then Macedonia. I am your sister, I had family in Slovenia. I just visited Ege, it was so great! We are great, we are Köprülü!
As far as I know, my father told me, all the Turks from Jabolciste have emigrated to Turkey 50 years ago. The empty village was populated with Albanians after.
I was born in Veles. Jabolciste is beautiful, a have visited once the village. My father has many times said to me: The Turks from Jabolciste ware bringing the best vegetables on the Veles' open market. But no more Turks in Jabolciste, it is a pity.

Most of them live now in the city of veles. Muslims, living in the villages of veles talk albanian at home, rarely turkish.
