Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes is my favorite album by them, Black Sails In the Sunset wasnt bad either. This is easily my favorite track by AFI too...and I will say, Sing the Sorrow had a couple good songs on it...but after that they went way too far with the emo shit. bad move guys.

I prefer their pre-Sing The Sorrow days but there's a handful of good songs afterwards and I greatly enjoy Decemberunderground (except for Love Like Winter). They aren't emo in the classic sense. Their music doesn't sound like it.

No matter what, i will always see AFI as one of the few bands in popular rock music who's bassline took more than 5 minutes to come up with. Whether you like the new mainstream rock stuff or the old punk stuff (I personally like both) the bass is still working hard to give the song the feel it needs.

AFI has changed, and that's cool, they are free to do what they want. I prefer the old stuff, it better suits my mood. The thing that most bothers me and let me down was that Davey stated in an interview that they were never going to play any of their old stuff because they were past that.. It seriously felt like they were forgetting about their fans who were there since the beginning.
