Tonesonics Rocket Launcher guitar pedal demo

No offense (great idea here...I've seen several of these pedals out there), but what's the difference in this and an EQ pedal with the sliders brought down ?

Let me explain this better.

This is just a volume knob, its actually a passive pedal

the tone switches are just preset tone knob spots (JUST LIKE YOUR GUITAR),

I own one of these and all I do is set my drive a lil higher on my amp so when I hit this box it gives me less drive, like i said its just a volume know that you preset.

Great pedal with HIGH quality parts, just not a boost but more of an Unboost

This seems like a pretty awesome pedal. I just got a 50 watt tube head and am having trouble finding a good volume boost for solos without it getting too gainy &/or no significant volume increase. I use an EH LPB-1 on my clean channel and it works great but not for solos on the gain channel. My 2nd overdrive pedal does the same thing even with gain turned down it stills muddys the sound and doesn't increase the volume much. I hope to try one of these Rocket Launchers soon maybe...endorsement? :)
