Nicely done. I always loved part 2. Boston music helped me through a lot. I remember waiting for the 3rd album. Then they toured and I got to see them. I saw them a number of times, the last being about 6 years ago. Brad had some help singing then, but he stole the show when he let it belt. I miss this band. Thanks for posting the tribute.

I think it’s nice and all that you are paying tribute to Brad for all his musical accolades and everything. But the bottom line is; he was the father of two children who most certainly did not care that he was a has been rock-star. His selfishness for days gone by far outweighed the needs of his children; and that, in fact, is truly the tragic aspect of this story.
nice job!!! Big fan here still love them... though Brad will never be replaced!!!! The rock n' roll hall of fame is missing the boat on this one!!!!! RIP Brad!
Nice tribute..I was fortunate to have seen Boston a couple times and it was great..they were and are one of my favorite bands.one of the best voices in rock n roll
The best band to have been put on this earth! Brad was the best singer ive ever heard, crazy how u can miss someone so much and not even met them. Gone but not forgotten.
I saw Boston in concert on February 12, 1979, 8 pm, SFA Coliseum, Nacogdoches, Texas, ticket $6.00, sponsored by UC Performing Arts Committee! Was just reading off the ticket. My brother was going to SFA at the time and bought my tickets for me. I was driving in from Tyler 85 miles away. He commented that he couldn't believe that I was paying $6.00 for a concert ticket. It was well worth it!
Wow, Almost 3 years ago, seems so long ago. I'm glad alot of you like it. I did my best at the time, and I really wanted to pay tribute to someone and the band also, that has influenced alot of my life. thank you again.
I'm so sad that I am born in the wrong time... I never got the chance to see Brad Delp or Steve Perry in their pride... Let's just hope Steve will return one day, and with him the magic of the human voice that he and Delp possessed...
I regret that I never got a chance to see him perform live. he never got the credit he deserved. Boston wouldn't have been as successful without his singing. nobody can sing like Brad.
I listened to the cassette tape "Don't Look Back" over and over on a bus to Wyandot, Michigan to a crew regatta from Parkersburg, WV when I was a Junior in High School/1985...life was good and I was Feeling Satisfied
People dont turn into angels when they die, and sucide is not the answer. Theres only one way, and that is JESUS. If you dont except him, you go to Hell, it is a real place.
He was such a wonderful talent. That voice was so beautiful and so mesmerizing. It doesn't matter where I am, whenever a Boston song comes on, I always have to stop and listen. I miss that voice.
RIP Brad. You are missed by me so much. I named my daughter Hollyann, as it is one of the most beautiful songs, mostly because of your voice. You may have felt like a lonely soul, but you were not.
Once again, and I cannot stress enough, Thank You all for the compliments. I made this video for me, but also for each of you, I may not ever know you, but we all have a connection through music. From the too young to remember, to the ones that were there, we all share a connection. Because of this tragic story, maybe we all need to grab the people we love, and tell those you'll be there in the darkest hour. When I hear them, I'll think of you, when you hear, think of others too. TY!!
R.I.P Brad Delp...... We all Love you, and we always will. I just wish you had have stayed with us. Whenever I listen to your music, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I miss you Bad, and i think we all do.
Everything in life can be so ironic, its painful to know Brad took his life feeling like he was the "loneliest man in the world" and yet he had millions of fans, anyone that would have helped him. He said in his suicide note he had put his cat in a safe place...very sad when your life isnt as valuable as a cat.....RIP Brad...If you only knew how many people adored you.
Sad we lost the legendary Brad Delp,The Backbone and Frontman from Boston.I loved listening to his melodic smooth voice on every hit the band made! Even"Amanda"! I have nearly half of thier cd's! Sad we loved him and lost him just last year.
"I'll lend you for a time, a man with a "golden voice" of mine, God said. A man to show you how to love, how to be patient, and how to give of yoursef. A voice for you to carry throughout your life like a best friend. To have been, and be with you in the best and toughest times of your life. And if I take him much sooner than you'd like, please don't be angry with me, for he is not gone, but in very good hands with Me and you will see him again... soon enough !!" From ....Bostonnut.
started listening to him when i was 7 years old drivin w/ my dad to hampton beach, nh. foreplay/longtime at high volumes intro'd and hooked me on Boston and now at 22 years old "dont look back" is my favorite. never spoke to him but he speaks to me still through his music and even though i regret not buying those tickets to his last concert i try not to "look back" and regret it -- i'm just gonna keep filling the digital jukebox at bars with your songs when i go out haha thanks for the music
thank you for watching. Thank everyone for sharing their memories, their feelings, no matter what they may be. This is my pride and joy, so I check back often to read all of your comments. There are so many people still discovering Boston, be kind to them and teach them well. thank you.
Very nice tribute. Sad to watch. Brad Delp sure had one of the best voices in rock history. You ought to hear his music from RTZ which was the band he sang with along with Barry Goudreau. When you hear of Brad Delp, one automatically thinks of "Boston", but the truth of the matter is that Brad Delp actually recorded more songs with RTZ than with Boston. Thanks LonWpnX for the tribute.
I grew up listening to Boston. Each song brings back so many memories. I feel like I lost a part of myself now that he's gone. Thanks for posting this. As long as the music lives, so will he.
enough of this best ever crap. he wasn't the best. who really is? freddy mercury? elvis? who the hell cares. brad was awesome. period. very recognizable voice. sorry to see him go.
Im a 46 year old Boston fan who has been listening to this group for 30 years and turn them up as loud today as i did when i was young and dumb and full of come when i was 15 years old driving my 68 Fairlane crusing Vancouver with my 2 blonde chic friends and Boston pumping out of the "Pioneer tape deck".
Brad was the voice, Tom "the great" was the brains, but Barry, Fran and Sib where also vital parts of the Whole. The greatest band ever until 1980 when Tom went wakko! If you have this great brain, you still need a heart, liver, lungs, pancrease to survive. Its time to bring back this great group of musicians for a memorial reunion tour for Brad in 08' Up yours Tom!
BOSTON demanded very little of Brad's time. It was a very small commitment in his life. To suggest that this was the reason for his tragic ending is absurd. Brad was torn from a lot of directions. As one fan has said before me, I think it is becoming more & more obvious who was doing the tearing.
After the original band disbanded, Brad was heard HUNDREDS of times saying he credited TS with the balls to push and get the band recognized, ok. I'm sorry, but YOU were not privy to his life and personal feelings about this subject. His family and close friends were. Apparently you did not know that Brad felt he was caught in the middle and it caused him great pain. He wanted peace with the situation, which he would not see in his liftime.
While passionate about his personal music choices (Beatles), singing with Boston was a job ~ his job. He gave it 100%, but that does not mean he was 'happy'...He went with the flow, and that meant conceding to Tom's way of making music ~ alone in his basement studio, and Brad coming in to lay down the vocal tracks. Tom knew Brad was the man when it came to that. So said by both.
His unhappiness that was there when you weren't even walking yet had to have played into the rest of his life.
Hardly a biased assessment. Brad told me privately that Tom was the mastermind behind BOSTON & that he was the reason for the success that was bestowed upon them. Brad had options, he could've left. The fact that he didn't, speaks volumes. Brad was not murdered. He took his own life. While he will always remain on the pedestal that he so rightly deserves, he is responsible for his death. He died by his own hand. To blame someone else speaks volumes about the accuser.
100% truth? WHATEVER! Many people have "issues" at work and continue to wake up the next morning. In addition, the issues with former band members are old, very old. While I loved Brad dearly, he had many demons. I suggest you read or, better yet, ask someone that knows Brad personally. Tom Scholz loved Brad, educate yourself. Melissa Majors
What a Great Tribute to the late Brad Delp. Boston's songs often inspired me thru the years and their music will last forever in the hearts of their fans. I was lucky to have seen them twice in concert!! Thanks for this dedication. Rest in Peace Brad as we miss you dearly.
two loves in my life, my wife diane and my music, the group boston motivates, inspires, uplifts me in times of need, thank you i am so grateful for both, for without them i would be less then i am

He had a timeless voice that was silenced too soon. He was always my hero & I miss him. I've met him several times (see myspace, Melissa Majors in Pensacola, Florida)& I can tell you that he was a gentle rocker that loved his fans. More than just the man with the "stratospheric vocals" that had the "unusual ability to hit the highest of high notes without ever overpowering the music", he was the nicest guy in rock and roll. I love you, Brad. Your biggest fan of 30 years and counting, Melissa
Sing to God Brad..make Him smile as you take the lead in His orchestra.....no music in the 90's and the 00's will ever have the heart quality that was engraved in your music........I'll always miss you and your heart......sing for God Brad..sing loudly my rock star.
all of us love you brad you have abeautiful voice and your songs are endless ,with tears in my eyes all of us fanes loved your music and always will .!! rock on bro!!
The blood of Brad's death should be ALL OVER Tom Scholz. End of story. The man was a controlling, heartless, lawsuit-happy prick! Hope HE kills himself!
This is a beautiful alternate take on Amanda. What album is this from? God, Brad had just such an awesome voice. Who else could do three part harmony better?
Thanks for a beautiful tribute to a beautiful guy--his incredible talent was matched only by his decency and humanity. A truly class act. Both the music world and the real world have lost a real "mensch."
Brad Delp, the lead singer for the band Boston killed himself last week, left behind a note in which he called himself "a lonely soul," according to police.
The note was paper-clipped to his shirt when police found his body, on the bathroom floor, his head on a pillow. He had sealed himself inside with two charcoal grills; toxicology tests showed he had committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. "Mr. Brad Delp. J'ai une ame solitaire. I am a lonely soul," the note read.
...I also found it very ironic that the TV show last night after Grey's Anatomy, (forget the name) included the song "Don't Look Back" played in it's entirety...
I completely agree w/Helicon. We were on our way up to New Hampshire to go skiing last weekend when the news broke. The news did make me feel old. It is so sad. For some Beatlejuice performances type in Swampscott. Rest in Peace Brad--
I hate when rockers die that I grew up listening to. It makes me feel old, and I'm only 43. Maybe he felt there was nothing left to give and didn't want to face old age. He was a good man, an awsome singer, and his legacy will live on forever.
I just read his death was ruled a suicide due to carbon monoxide poisining. According to the report he put two charcoal grilles in his sealed bathroom and inhaled CO.
I was recently turned on to Brad Delp in the last couple of months after searching out the song "Memories" and finding it here on youtube. He had such a beautiful voice. Great tribute.
The music world lost a great musician. Boston at times played like a classical band to a degree, but with guitars instead of violens. They were intricate and had a constant flow to the music. A bunch of progressive musicians.
Were not even sure of how he died, but I doubt it was his diet. I'm a meat eater myself and think being a "veggie lover" is a little silly, but again, I doubt his diet had anything to do with it.
dear getchasumm a mans life is written in his destiny therefore you should enjoy your present life as you do not know what future has in store for you
Ironic that he was a vegetarian and against the tobacco industry, but died so young. Never the less, he was probably a good guy, and obviously a legend in heavy rock. So please try to have a little respect.
brad delp was a hero i miss him from this world no one else with this golden voice can be born he and tom scholtz recorded this fabulous album in the garage and today is 17*platinum in america miss you on behalf of all rock n roll fans in bangalore india
you did very good coz..i love the video and that poem you wrote in there was smooth and badass...i know for a fact the world will never forget Brad Delp and the band cuz their songs helped us through soo much shit in our life...they are our heroes...

What a Great Tribute to the late Brad Delp. Boston's songs often inspired me thru the years and their music will last forever in the hearts of their fans. I was lucky to have seen them twice in concert!! Thanks for this dedication. Rest in Peace Brad as we miss you dearly.

Tom Scholz caused Brad's death. Anyone that knows these guys knows that to be the 100% truth!! Rot in hell, Tom. Asshole!
getchasumm 4 years ago
100% truth?

Rock and Roll's most unappreciated geniouses. He is a loss that left a gaping hole in my heart.
Jsten419 4 years ago
He had a timeless voice that was silenced too soon. He was always my hero & I miss him. I've met him several times (see myspace, Melissa Majors in Pensacola, Florida)& I can tell you that he was a gentle rocker that loved his fans. More than just the man with the "stratospheric vocals" that had the "unusual ability to hit the highest of high notes without ever overpowering the music", he was the nicest guy in rock and roll. I love you, Brad. Your biggest fan of 30 years and counting, Melissa

Sholtz and Delp together;made each other successful
in their band boston. You can't have one without the other.Brad had his demons and it's nobody's fault that
he died,except his own.I know growing old isn't fun,but
we only get one shot, might as well make the best of it.

Thanks Lon .....I feel like you do.
It matters not who is at fault for we must all die soon
but instead - make a contact with someone you love and tell them that you are there for them in their darkest hour. Depression is a killer.

The blood of Brad's death should be ALL OVER Tom Scholz. End of story. The man was a controlling, heartless, lawsuit-happy prick! Hope HE kills himself!

Brad would still be alive if he was busier in music.
Unfortunately Tom "Mr. Perfect" Scholz took too long making music for Boston. He also wouldn't aprove any Brad's side projects. Tom is an asshole

The music world lost a great musician. Boston at times played like a classical band to a degree, but with guitars instead of violens. They were intricate and had a constant flow to the music. A bunch of progressive musicians.

Eating red meat may have saved Brad's life! Damn those veggie-lovers!!!
getchasumm 5 years ago
Were not even sure of how he died, but I doubt it was his diet. I'm a meat eater myself and think being a "veggie lover" is a little silly, but again, I doubt his diet had anything to do with it.

eat red meat!!!! look what a vegetarian diet did for Brad !!!

Ironic that he was a vegetarian and against the tobacco industry, but died so young. Never the less, he was probably a good guy, and obviously a legend in heavy rock. So please try to have a little respect.
