First off, Swain doesnt really need clarity. Ignite/TP is much more benefiting. He does have some serious mana issues when spamming abilities, but you can just harras with E and then autoattack , get your mana back with lasthits and unleash your full combo when a jungler comes. Also, theres no reason to build DFG on him. He doesnt have "burst" like Veigar or AP Poppy for example, so its not worth it on him. His strength is sustained dmg and tankyness. RoA is a really strong item on him.
Pretty good job indeed, the only thing that bugs me is your spell order, i think initiating with torment is the first step to be a good swain player, since that damage increase will make the difference in the battles.
I personally enjoy playing Swain, but do you find it really required to take clarity other than something like Exhaust or Ignite? Or even Teleport? I play Swain as a nuke. I find DFG is a really important item to get, next to rod of ages. Btw awesome job. Also can you do a either Tank Kennan or Twisted Fate (possibly crazy baron steals or maybe even a max range card kill)
@o0xHorizoNx0o Well when I first started I loved having Clairty on him since I could never run out of mana in lane out of lane in a team fight because he's very mana dependent and thank you :D

Then I suggest mana regen runes. Swain needs flash/ignite
I am a Main Swain player. He is my first character and my best character, at that.
His passive makes it so that you NEVER run out of mana early game. To counteract any future mana issues, I grab a ROA a.s.a.p.
In any case, Get MPen Red, MRegen Yellows, Flat AP blues, and HP quints, and you will have an amazing early game.
F.Y.I. Swain isn't a late game carry, he passes the title "carry" to a late game character like Alkali
