its good to know kel tec stands behind there product, & after months of searching I figure to get the P11. As for the glock guys guess its like nitro drag racers kinda snobs & say if you really want to go fast dont use gas use nitro or mechanics want snap on tools over craftsman
@xxxM85xxx I have & I agree the sr9c would be a better choice but on a fixed income the p11 looks good to me. In fact, Im more interested in plinking so the 9mm is my 1st choice
& the ammo is the best price for the punch. even tho I doubt id go thru 1000 rounds a year
@xxxM85xxx The sr9c slide is prone to ejection failure because of the slide lockup design-the p11 is much simpler and more effective. The p11's slide recoils on a full aluminum housing (same metal as AR 15 receiver) but the Ruger has metal rails set in the plastic grip-hardly better quality. And the p11 has a real hammer that works every time. If this same pistol had Ruger's name on it it would be the deal of the century at it's price point.
@BOORAGG the ruger sr9 is a striker fired pistol which is different than the keltec dao action. alot of proven pistols like glocks xd's and m&p are all striker fired. the metal the slide rides is more than enough alot of pistols out there only have a little metal for the rail like kahr, ruger glock springfield xd, etc... I have the sr9c and 0 issues with it. I cant say the same about the keltec. it has broke on me 2 or 3 times now. The extractor broke on this gun with causes ejection
@xxxM85xxx problems. Dont compare dao and striker fired they are different so of course they will work different. the keltec is cheaper than the ruger but your getting a better gun.
@xxxM85xxx Ya, I know. Striker fire is just a spring loaded firing pin and it works. I'm just a hammer man myself-seen 1911s half full of mud fire. The SR9C is a nice gun, but its not any more reliable than the Keltec, just a lot easier to shoot. Glad your gun is fine, but that Keltec extractor issue sounds like something wasn't seating right, its a pretty simple part-carry a spare, never had to use it, and ya know, that 9mm comes out of that thing just as fast as any Kahr.
Just kinda ignorant to make that general assumption when you really have no clue as to if they are glock owners or not. I've been looking at getting a kel-tec and have fired many of them. But if it came down to my life depending on it. I'd choose my Glock and so would prolly an so would 85% of people
@savagenomore I happen to be a Glock owner and have never regretted it a bit, there's a video on here that has a flock fire that many rounds that the gun got that hot the guide rail melted and fell out the front an continued to fire. How many other hand guns could do that? But none the less kel-tech are nice.
I believe you're confusing "fit and finish" with engineering. I honestly think it's a pretty good design. I compulsively disassemble things in order to understand how they work, and it's very similar to my Beretta 8045D, but with a lot of simplification that allows for a lower price. The Beretta's artistry is in its elegantly formed parts. The Kel-Tec excels in minimalism. It's a less elegant weapon, but I don't believe it's likely to be any less reliable once broken in.
13 rnds of 9mm In a sub compact reliable package for under $300, the p11 is probably one of the most underrated carry guns out there... Check out the armalaser for your p11 it works well and maintains it zero nicely...
I bought a used p11 that was 7 yrs old with a blued slide that showed a lot of holster wear. i had it for a year and decided to trade in slide and barrel for a parkerized version. The info i got from keltec said it would cost 60.00, so i sent them in. I mailed on a Thursday and by the next Thursday i had them at my house. The best part was it was free of charge plus a little keltec screw driver thrown in for good messure. Awesome.
@nutnpretty you are correct the extractor is the little square with a hook on it on the other side of the slide. I just ordered 3 ejectors and ejector pins. he probably told them he needed the extractor and thats the little square peice he got. sounds like his error rather than them sending wrong peice maybe? hmm
@xxxM85xxx ohh yeah I got ya. well either way thx for your videos on the p-11 I just bought 2 and have used your trigger improvements so thx for that!!
On the quality of your videos: You need to pull camera back and stop pulling gun out of the view of the camera. The visual quality is excellent though and so is the audio quality. Have a prepared text or outline prior to the video, that will help with creating a video that has brevity. Turn off the stupid TV or Radio in the background. This video would of been great if it was 2 minutes long. I hope you take these comments in the spirit given. I'd like to see your videos improve.
@TictacAddict1 Thanks for the advice. The camera dosnt have a auto focus and it only has super close up or far away. I wish I could move the cam back but if I did it would blur. I would like to get a new cam

Had the PF-9, and after seeing how it was engineered, I'll never purchase another Kel-tec again.
