The small square is the headphone jack .You have to buy a headphone and plug it in there. I know this because there is a small picture of a headphone right on top of the two holes.

Gameplay, I would say DS, because its more interactive although the PSP has way better graphics.

I would go with the PSP, also the PSP is used more (from my experiences). You see a lot of DS's with kids.

Nice review. Too bad my PSP is being really stupid. Analog stick is jammed somehow and it only makes someone go down instead of letting me move in other directions. DS is a beast handheld system and I love it. Great games and the WiFi makes it incredible.

Yes, I think it is a good purchase. It is a great upgrade from the old DS. I think it is late though, to buy the Lite. Nintendo may come out with another hand held system soon. But, if you want it, get it. Its great.

Well, actually I have both systems and this is what I have to say:

PSP has games designed mostly for the older crowd (GTA, Midnight Club 3, Call of Duty, Star Wars...) More hardcore games where you actually need to pay attention to.

The DS is designed for younger and more casual gamers, where you can sit back and relax.

I dunno, I guess it depends who you are.

Some q: When u close the DS and then open it to play again, between those periods of time, does it keeps using the battery as if u were playing? Can u close it while it's on, n then come back n play a few hours later or next day? Is it true that the new red/black Ds has cheaper screens that look darker and produce "ghosting"? Can you make a comparison? That'd be awesome. And what's the name of the game you didn't like? Thanks a lot!

When you close the lid, the DS is in sleep mode. After 24 hrs. in sleep mode it loses 1.5% of battery. Yes. I don't know much about the crimson DS, I try to get to that though. Make a comparison of the DS crimson and mine? Nah, I don't have the crimson. The name of the game I don't like is Yoshi Island DS.

I think if you know HOW to mod, then selling the PSP is not wise, but if you can't mod or don't have a regular access to a computer (or if you prefer different types of games), get the DS.
