@KingsHWY Really sorry for the delay in replying, this is the first time I've been logged in since your comment. The guitar is Canadian and is a Norman B20 Folk. I love it! It is especially good for lighter finger picking styles. Can lose out a bit if strumming heavily but that's what you would expect with the smaller Folk body

Outstanding - by a million miles the best cover, and interpretation, on acoustic guitar and vocal I've heard. Given my history with this song this is no idle comment. I bet you would do a great version on the electric guitar as well - fancy trying it?

Wow thanks, that is too kind. As i've said before my history with this song goes back over 30 years! It is a song that you have to put the emotion in to .... it deserves it. I can't imagine doing it with an electric though .. but i am considering an electric version of Watching the Detectives ;-)

Ha, I put this together by ear, so I never wrote it down, I'm happy to supply tabs but I'm useless at writing them so you could be waiting a long time....(3 kids and a full time job - I only just about have time to sleep :-))

I would say if anything makes my way of playing different to yours it will be the left hand, often I'm only playing the root note. So I suggest you just watch my left hand and see if that can get you the sound you are looking for.

No, that's just how I sound :-) someone commented on another of my video and said I sounded like David Sylvian, I guess you always do end up getting influenced and therefore sounding like your favourite singers. If I'm half as good as them I will be happy! Thanks for the positive comment.
