but after about 23-2400 wats the signal becomes clipped on those amps so be careful with your gains.. best bet is to have the amp set with a DMM or a O-Scope. just to make sure u dont clip the shit outta ur subs and burn the coil up..

kickers def. arent for poor people jus the cheaper ones but def not the l7 or solo x they both are over 400 and the solo x is over 600 so shut the fuck up dumb ass
its true u can get 2 15 L7 kickers for the same price of a 12 in w7. kickers will be a lil bit louder. but no dought jl has some nice clean bass. but put those 15 with the jl1000v2 and u will get some nice clean bass.

i dont know much about DD. But i know Fi Car Audio is amazing, especially the Fi BTL series. And RE audio is more expensive but also very good like Fi Audio.

You cant just port a sealed box. When ya build a box your gonna need different airspace for a sealed compared to a ported dumbass. And by the way if your at most competitions they dont judge you just on how loud you are, has ALOT to do with cosmetics and HOW it sounds
most people don't know the difference between a sneeze and a wet fart about car audio. most people cram their subs in a crappy $50 prefab box. i custom build mine to suit the particular driver. also, you would be shocked how many pekerheads think the gain control on an amp is the volume. if they want to jam, they turn the gains to the max and fry their amp. then talk about how the amp was a piece of shit. people shuld get a damn clue.
i used to work at a local shop in nc. now i own a cell phone accessories business. i still install on the side. installing is fun in the beginning, eventually it becomes a job. plus i got too old to have my ass in the seat and my head in the floorboard. in the next couple of months, i'm going to attempt to cram 4 hifonics 12's in the trunk of my lumina and still be able to access my spare tire. FUN FUN!!!!!
hifonics subs are very good. the performance of a sub depends on enclosure, amplier power, and the quality of the amp. i don't know what hifonics subs you say that sucks, but a lot of the quality depends on the install.
they do got a few good sub's but they got ther crap too like most manf. but i'v seen some of ther subs fall apart ..but the higher watte subs are good but im not too much of a fan of ther lower watte subs they dont got good parts the lower one's they sell ..but the higher sub's they have to got good shit ....for sure good when ther higher watte/frame
i don't doubt thayt you have seen some of their stuff fall apart. nobody makes products that are bulletproof. a lot has to do with the compotence of the owner. if they have their amp turned too far up, that produces distortion. if they try to play it harder than it is designed to, same thing. hell, i have seen people with a pair of kicker L7 pushing them with a crappy Profile amp. people have got to know how to setup and use their products.
every fuckin company has shitty subs. get over it lol. alot of people take the $70 B12D4 from hifonics, wire to a 2 ohm load and wire 2 of them in series for a one ohm load put the 1300watt to them(50rms over their rated) and hit the 146+DB for under $700(includes amp deck wiring etc.)
i don't know what fuckin companies shitty subs you listen to. kicker, mtx, jl all make killer subs. and anything i have heard from hifonics has been the shit. my point is, most of the people who install shit in their car don't know the difference between a sneeze and a wet fart when it comes to choosing, installing, and using equipment properly. you can put the best top of the line products in the hands of a dumbass and they CAN blow it up because they don't know what the hell they are doing.
uhhh no. the only killer subs kicker MTX and JL make are their high end subs. the rest can be beatin by a single BTL. and you must only buy shit from cartoys if thats the major brands your listing off. and if youve never heard hifonics olympus series of subs you must know nothing about hifonics..... and subs DO NOT BLOW UP. the coil either gets burnt or you can destroy the spider form over throwing it(possibly rip the surround depending on the sub). but yeah any dumbass can make good shit suck.
brand is a matter of preference. the brands i mentioned previously are in my opinion good for accuracy and volume. being that i listen to metal, that's what i look for. i know that subs don't blow up, i have installed for over 20 years. rather, it's a term used by the novice to describe how they messed their shit up. as far as BTL, i'm not familiar with that brand, but i will check it out.

blakndmild45, what is it that you want to debate, how wonderful Fi is? i have never heard Fi products, so i can't comment. or do you want to debate MTX and Hifonics, both of which are very good brands. my preference is Hifonics, based on the fact that they have all the quality of MTX, but at roughly half the price for the equivalent.
well, Fi is a great brand and they hit very very hard and clean plus for the prices the btl's run for the shit is unreal..hifonics..im not to fond of i had the bxi amp and i tested it and it wasnt a true 2k rms the subs i will give credit the have some descent SQ and as for mtx...i mean ill give the credit for having quality products but not much more i can really say haha to me they're not what they're cracked up to be..have you heard any RE's?
i have heard of RE, but i haven't heard any. as far as your bxi, hifonics rates their amps power at 14.4 volts, which ain't happening in most cases. always look at 12v power, because that's what you're gonna get. but really the 2009 bxi 2600 watt amp is $331 on ebay. you will get 2k watts at 12v. it's also VERY important to upgrade your battery to alt and ground wires to 0 guage. and if your doing 2k watts, you need a high output alternator and a 2nd battery. there are so many bases to cover.

size sometimes doesnt always matter i just made a box 2.7cubeft ported tuned to 41 hertz and under an spl meter did 142.5 the box on the video only did 141.3 and that is 6 cube ft
fire the subs out the back. it will sound 2 times better. my friend had a custom box with 4-12"ol' school orion xtr's made and they fired up and sounded like garbage. trust me and fire these towards the back of car and you won't be disappointed!

hifonics subs are very good. the performance of a sub depends on enclosure, amplier power, and the quality of the amp. i don't know what hifonics subs you say that sucks, but a lot of the quality depends on the install.

i don't doubt thayt you have seen some of their stuff fall apart. nobody makes products that are bulletproof. a lot has to do with the compotence of the owner. if they have their amp turned too far up, that produces distortion. if they try to play it harder than it is designed to, same thing. hell, i have seen people with a pair of kicker L7 pushing them with a crappy Profile amp. people have got to know how to setup and use their products.

uhhh no. the only killer subs kicker MTX and JL make are their high end subs. the rest can be beatin by a single BTL. and you must only buy shit from cartoys if thats the major brands your listing off. and if youve never heard hifonics olympus series of subs you must know nothing about hifonics..... and subs DO NOT BLOW UP. the coil either gets burnt or you can destroy the spider form over throwing it(possibly rip the surround depending on the sub). but yeah any dumbass can make good shit suck.

i have heard of RE, but i haven't heard any. as far as your bxi, hifonics rates their amps power at 14.4 volts, which ain't happening in most cases. always look at 12v power, because that's what you're gonna get. but really the 2009 bxi 2600 watt amp is $331 on ebay. you will get 2k watts at 12v. it's also VERY important to upgrade your battery to alt and ground wires to 0 guage. and if your doing 2k watts, you need a high output alternator and a 2nd battery. there are so many bases to cover.

size sometimes doesnt always matter i just made a box 2.7cubeft ported tuned to 41 hertz and under an spl meter did 142.5 the box on the video only did 141.3 and that is 6 cube ft
