900dmg of 5000hp. Mmmm... you need at least 10 plasma defences (5 with grav shield) to guarantee battleship destruction. The research of blaster launcher allowing to defeat battleships with 7 fusion ball defences (3-4 w GS) in most cases.

"Troops are expensive......" sounds a little funny, because you use them as canon fodder.

I think the only time I've ever constructed the "Lightning" transport/fighter was the first time I played. I always held out for the Avenger after that. This has been a great playthrough to watch so far. I do create the alien-based fighter though (can't remember the name at the moment). I think you should have started a 3rd hangar by now.

This....this was a pretty sad video. ;-; Farewell Sub Joseph. You were a good substitute for Sub Zero, but alas, you are dead. 

Which means that now, I'm rooting for Malkil to be the leader, and Hobbins gets an automatic promotion to Hero. And I KNEW Missile Tank would be bad. Farewell, death bringer!

You also probably should've shot that thing down with your interceptor, but I imagine it would've just shot you first.

i for one would love to see another lets play x-com by Kikoskia, same difficulty / one base / no saves, but played without rushing the enemy, just sound tactics and a reasonably equipped team; if the characters actually persisted and leveled up, it would ad tons of character to the playthrough

remove the "no saves" part, add that he confirms that he fixed the difficulty bug (difficulty changes to Beginner after end of first combat - a bug present in ALL DOS versions due to an incorrectly set byte or two) and I'll gladly watch it. of course, if he does this, he might have to learn quite a few tricks to survive.

What does the grav shield do?

Oh well. You can always recruit Enigma, Wahooka, Ak'Shel, Xeob Chief, Karzak, Saresan, Anita, all nine gods from Stonekeep plus Khull-Khuum, and any number of the other NPCs you haven't used yet. No need to resort to entire locations as troops.
